I have never expected of what I called “surrender” when I was at university turns into something I called “sanctuary”.

@sakolakita didn’t not begin with a big office nor perfect plan nor large team. It started from question:

If I cannot find the kind of community I want to be part of… why don’t I create one?

My eagerness to create a space where people could learn languages, meet new people, discover different cultures, and connect.

Time passed by, now I understand that young people were looking for more than just a place to learn. They were looking for opportunities. For exposure. For experiences that could help them see possibilities beyond what they already knew. And slowly, Sakola Kita grew.

Yesterday, we officially begin a new chapter through Yayasan Sakola Kita Indonesia. Thanks to all my teams @rahmatnouf_ @hii_almaaa @nurlitaprilia28 @nadilafw_ @irvany_mozad @slsblaurelie @dinalazm_ @badry.muntasyir @icadrupadi @rizkiwaluya_mc for the hard work to make this happened.

Seven years ago, I thought I was surrendering because I could not find the place where I belonged. But with @sakolakita and my team I I realize something. Maybe surrender was never the end of the story.
So perhaps the lesson is not simply: “Never give up.” Sometimes, it is:

“Know what to let go of — so you can make room for what you are meant to build.”

And I hope @sakolakita continues to be that kind of space.
Also big thanks to all Korean delegates and partners world Bonggong foundation, Mr David, all community partners and young people who attended yesterday’s event ❤️❤️❤️✨✨✨

Let’s keep working together and make young people the generation for better future.
