There’s always something so special about being back in Hammond, LA!💛 I had the opportunity of attending the Alumni Donor Brunch at President Wainwright’s home and riding in the Homecoming Parade.

So grateful for the generous donors who continue to invest in the future of our university and the generations of Lions to come!

Congratulations to Dale Baker (’96), our 2026 Distinguished Alumnus! 💚💛

We were thrilled to honor Dale at the Alumni Awards Evening during Homecoming Week! With nearly 30 years of excellence in software engineering, Dale currently serves as Principal Software Engineer and Group Leader at Applied Research Associates (ARA), creating advanced software platforms for the U.S. Navy, Department of Homeland Security, and beyond.

Not only is he an industry leader, but Dale also remains deeply dedicated to Southeastern—mentoring students, guiding senior projects, teaching DevSecOps, and opening doors for the next generation of STEM leaders in Louisiana.

Drop a 🦁 in the comments to help us congratulate Dale!
