Back in the gym after a bit of time off. 🏋🏽

I decided to move up the break I had planned to take after Worlds and take some time away from the gym. Got a much-needed mental reset, some good rest, and also won’t lose any training time once I’m fully back.

My thumb is doing much better and I can start progressively reducing how much I wear a brace over the next two weeks and will hopefully be able to train at full capacity again after that. 🤞🏼

Looking forward to sharing the comeback. 🙂‍↕️

Selected as reserve athlete for the European Championship team🇨🇭

Coming back from shoulder surgery with minimal preparation, I wasn’t expecting to be in serious contention for a spot on the team. The goal was to get back in the habit of competing but in the end I got close to being selected.

In terms of pure scores at the qualifiers, I could have made the team, but deciding factors were the events on which I contributed and that I wasn’t back on enough events yet, which makes sense given the circumstances. The fact that it was such a close decision is very motivating but also pretty frustrating.

Now I’ll be preparing with the team for the next few weeks, including a control competition in Finland next week (see you soon @akselikarsikas 🇫🇮). After that I’ll be pushing for World Championships in October.

A huge thank you to my sponsor @sluups for the support up until now!

The grind continues…

Second Euros qualifier 🎭

Very happy with my performance on rings and high bar, even though I didn’t have the best day overall. Lots to take away from these two meets but things are heading in the right direction. This is just the start.

Always glad for the support of @sluups !
