5/9 total: 360 (-5) @ 56.4bw

despite the results on paper, there were a lot of bts wins that i’m really happy about: cruised through the most successful cut to date eating everything i enjoy while losing fat and maintaining strength. not having to stress about weight to even eating breakfast before weighing in is a dream i’m so happy i got to live. training closer to comp weight is the way to go moving forwards

FINALLY BROKE THE BENCH CURSE real ones will know this was big 🥹 unfortunately deadlifts are still waiting for the day i figure out how to execute 🫪, just gotta get stronger and hold myself to higher standards

so much fun sharing the platform with the girlies as always @yannnru_ & @nguliftercat keepin’ the vibes high🫶, big s/o to mr anderson & diana @bcpowerliftingassociation and volunteers for running another awesome meet🍦thank you to the ppl in my corner both on and off the platform 🍉 the best community @strengthlabyvr and ofc to my number1🐻 @cmslifts i guess we saved all the overshooting we didn’t do in training for the platform oops 🤣

another great experience doing my fave thing under the belt, upwards and onwards, it’s back to work until nanaimo 🛳️

Nationals ‘26: 9th/16th placing in Canada! (PR Nationals placing)

Mixed feelings about going 3/6 and not no PR total after a season of hard work. Then I remembered that when I was in grade 9, I sat on the bench on the basketball team all season, sad that I wasn’t good enough to play. Grade 9 Pat would be pretty proud of getting top 10 in the country.

The good

1kg PR competition snatch at Nationals!

The best clean and jerk opener I’ve ever done in 7 years. Not to mention I did this after waiting 15-20 minutes from my last warmup at 137kg!

The bad:

Le Cramp: My whole lower body cramped during and after my 2nd clean and jerk, leading to me having to pull out of the competition for the first time ever :( Grateful for no injuries, but leaves me wondering if I was capable of a fun CJ attempt.

I didn’t take enough videos and pictures of the fun experience.

I had so much fun watching the competition in Montreal. It was so fun to see the venue packed to cheer on all the Team Quebec athletes, and I hope weightlifting in BC can carry some of that excitement in the future.

A highlight of the trip was getting to share the whole experience with coach Andy (who went through a lot to be able to handle at Nationals), and the roommates Jem, Peter, and J for an incredible weekend.

Result: 120 124x 126(PR). 143, 149(CRAMP), Declined 3rd attempt.

I don’t even have photos with everyone I had the chance to work with during these 3 emotional and unforgettable days at Nationals ❤️

I’m truly grateful and proud to have been part of the BC coaching team this weekend. So many emotions, stressful moments, happy moments, lessons, victories, and heartbreaks — this is sport, and this is why we love it.

I’m proud of every single one of my athletes. Proud of the successful lifts, and just as proud of the missed ones. There was stress during weigh-ins, difficult moments after going 0/3, nerves, pressure… but the most important thing is that you earned your place at the Canadian Championships and stepped onto that platform. That alone is already a huge achievement.

This year the Canadian Championships also included athletes from 5 different countries, which made the experience even more valuable and exciting. For many of you, this is only the beginning, and I’m very happy you got to feel this level of competition and atmosphere.

Now we go back to work. More technique, more confidence, more consistency — so next time the jury has no chance to question your lifts 💪

Take a small rest, recover, and then we keep moving forward. I already want to see an even bigger team next year ❤️

Thank you everyone for the trust, support, and memories.
Technique. Strength. Progress💪
