The New Forest has well and truly bloomed with fungi this last week, so much so that I came home with over 8,000 images! They’re focus stacked so I haven’t got quite that many fungi shots! 😂🍄

I particularly loved experimenting with the lighting on this one, using a 3 light setup to bring out those warm golden gills against the beautiful woodland green.

Swipe to see the behind the scenes setup! 📸🌿

📷 Camera: OM-1 Mark II
🔍 Lens: M.Zuiko 90mm Macro PRO
⚙️ Settings: 1/25s | f/4 | ISO 200

Hi everyone

A week of slime moulds for me. Ranging from the massive 4mm stemonitis down to slimes less than 0.5mm it's a totally engrossing genre of macro photography that keeps your mind focused, gives you some valuable time outdoors and hones those all important micro-muscle movements crucial for our dexterity

Anyone else finding and photographing slime moulds?

All images taken with @omsystemcameras.uk OM1 ii and the incomparable 90mm MZuiko lens + x2 extender. All lit by @smallrig.eu flexi lights

Most people would have stepped on it.

It looked like nothing. Just a dark, ugly shape in the grass. But the closer I got, the more it felt like it was staring back.

Do you usually stop for things that look ugly?

Parecía nada. Solo una forma oscura y fea en la hierba. Pero cuanto más me acercaba, más sensación tenía de que me estaba mirando.

¿Tú sueles pararte con las cosas que parecen feas?

A Taste of Hong Kong 🇭🇰🍜

A local Hong Kong eatery serving up a delicious plate of stir-fried noodles, a little like Filipino pancit. 🥢✨ Simple, full of flavour, and part of the everyday food culture that makes exploring Hong Kong so special.

Sometimes, the best travel experiences are found around the dinner table. 🍽️📸
