✨ Weeks 2 & 3 — DONE! ✨

Rose has officially completed weeks two and three of radiation! Only three more weeks to go. ❤️

I truly can’t put into words how proud I am of this girl. She is strong, resilient, brave, and somehow handling things that no child should ever have to face. Her anxiety has lessened so much, and watching her gain control over her fears of needles, procedures, and everything that comes with treatment has been incredibly inspiring.

I hate that she has to go through this, but this journey has changed all of us in ways I never could have imagined. The people we’ve met and the relationships we’ve formed in such a short time have become some of the most meaningful we’ve ever experienced. Watching these kids fight every day with so much courage absolutely amazes me.

And through it all, we see God working. 🙏 I pray that when this chapter is over, we can somehow pay forward the love and kindness that has been shown to our family. We will always have follow-up treatments and monitoring ahead, but our biggest prayer remains that God removes this tumor and gives Rose the opportunity to use her strength to help other kids and adults facing cancer and illness.

We are overwhelmed with gratitude for every donation, gift, prayer, meal, hotel room, message, and act of kindness. Each one has lifted a little of the financial and emotional weight from our shoulders and allowed us to focus on what matters most — our girl. ❤️

And a HUGE thank you to the @smasherson_foundation for bringing smiles to these kids’ faces every single day during treatment. Those little moments of joy — for Rose and so many of the kids we’ve met — make such a difference and give them a much-needed silver lining in the middle of something so difficult. 💕✨

We are taking this one week, one treatment, and one day at a time.

Our Blessed Trinity community showed up in an incredible way for our blood drive this past week and lives will be changed because of it.

🩸 6 Power Red donations (equal to 12 whole blood donations!)
🩸 102 total donors
🩸 59 first-time donors
🩸 8 teachers
🩸 15 parents
🩸 79 students
🩸 5 parent/child teams

One blood donation can help save up to three lives. Each pint is separated into red blood cells, plasma, and platelets meaning a single act of generosity can help cancer patients, trauma victims, surgical patients, and so many others.

Faculty. Staff. Students. Parents. Volunteers.

You didn’t just participate, you made a life-saving difference.

Blessed Trinity, you are heroes.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to help us make our dream a reality of dancing in THON! This weekend is something we will never forget and we could have never done it without the love and support of our family and friends! Being able to be apart of this amazing organization and be dancers is one of the biggest honors of our lives and is something we will cherish forever.

Raising $18.8 million is incredible and we are extremely blessed that we got to play a small part in it!

💖 Service of the Heart at HR 💖

One of our most cherished Holy Redeemer traditions came to life this Valentine’s Day through Service of the Heart — a beautiful reminder that love is best shown through serving others. Our students gathered in Saint Family groups to give back to our community through hands-on service projects that truly made a difference.

🥪 The Sandwich Project — students prepared fresh homemade sandwiches to help meet food scarcity needs in Atlanta

🎒 Catholic Charities of Atlanta — after learning about refugee resettlement, students decorated and filled school supply bags for immigrant children

🧼 The Drake House — students created supply kits for women and children experiencing homelessness, a partner we’ve proudly supported for years

💌 Smasherson — students made cheerful cards with jokes for children’s radiation countdown calendars

Valentine’s Day is about loving others — and our HR community showed that love in action through service, compassion, and joyful hearts. 💕

The work I do with children and families is never done alone—it is strengthened every single day by the community partners who step in with open hands, open minds, and a shared commitment to making tough moments a little more bearable.
