On Wednesday we held our first summertime Quiet Book Club meeting, and had a great turn out! Quiet Book Club allows everyone to set aside one hour and read any book of their choice (either physical or digital) in a quiet and cozy environment. Enjoy some light music, refreshments, and welcoming vibes. Hope to see you at the next one on September 23rd, in the Museum! 📚

FOUR MORE DAYS OF WALKING THE QUIET. In the last few days of the show at @smcmoa, taking in multiple final visits (I think I’ll be there Saturday morning too now), almost a year since the project started, I’m able to look at all of this work completely removed from the work of making it, and just be appreciative of what it is, how it came together, the stories of ways the St Mary’s community interacted with it, how much of a gift it was to make this work truly as a collaboration with @porsiatunzi @blroyer @desiraptor students, staff and the campus as a collaborator and just how rare and special getting to work like that is, that a whole new person was created in the time of working on this show!

So much thanks to everyone who has seen the show, will still see the show, will ask to see the portfolio later, to SMCMOA for inviting me to make this work, to Britt for believing I could pull an insane project off, and Porsia for truly letting me take over her class as a complete trust fall.

The only downside to all of this is I now have the bug to make more work on walls…
