BFA Capstone + Senior Projects info session is Friday, October 23, 2-3:30 pm on zoom.
Help is spread the news!

BFA Capstone (the new title for Senior Thesis) is an interdisciplinary cohort, organized by small critique groups. Students work towards an end of the semester exhibition guided and supported by the TUAG staff.
Capstone faculty: Kate Conlon, Sean Glover, Valerie Polgar, Laura Beth Reese, Aaron Seriff-Cullick, Mary Ellen Strom (program coordinator).

Senior Projects (pilot program!) is a project that is completed in an Advanced level course, supported by a discipline specific cohort. Students will show their work at the end of the semester in a one-day Art Symposium.

Come to the zoom Q&A to learn more about both.
We will record the meeting.

Thank you to everyone who came to support this year’s SMFA Senior Thesis Exhibition. Thank you also to the women in my family who inspired this series investigating the math, art, labor, and technical skill behind handicrafts.

My thesis film, The Fox and the Fray, is officially complete!
Making this vision into a reality in one semester was not easy, so I am so incredibly grateful for everyone who helped and supported me throughout the process 🫶🫶🫶 it truly means the world to me. This project made me realize that the joy of art is about sharing it, so I’m very excited to make more animations and jewelry in the future (now that I’m officially graduated wooo).
The film won’t be up on YouTube for awhile as I submit it to festivals, but I have a lot of behind the scenes footage that I can share if you want to see it, and the videos featured in the post are sneak peaks from the official film.
