Honored to be featured on Larry’s List next-generation collector explaining why I collect exclusively works by women artists, why female voices have been historically marginalized in art, why it’s important for me to meet the artists behind the works, as well as the future role of women I foresee in contemporary art. I hope to amplify the voices of women artists and shape meaningful dialogues in the art world. [link in bio] Thank you @larrys_list and @smilericko #marlenedumas #rosemarietrockel #marthajungwirth

j / Absurd Elegance〡Group Exhibition <23/10/2025 - 22/11/2025> Opening this Thursday, “Absurd Elegance” marks @galerie_j_slash first presentation in Hong Kong, introducing the gallery’s commitment to showcasing innovative contemporary art that challenges conventional thinking. Throughout the exhibition, viewers are invited to reconsider chaos not as an absence of structure, but as the birthplace of complex, emergent orders—revealing how beauty arises not despite disorder, but because of it. The exhibition creates an intimate viewing experience, inviting close engagement with each artist’s unique approach to finding pattern within disarray. Location: JPS Gallery Hong Kong, G/F, 88 - 90 Staunton Street, Central, Hong Kong @anouchka.gerard @dourone @mmaoyuqiu @smilericko @simona_mihaela_stoia @toninhodingl @yizhi_wan @galerie_j_slash @jpsgallery #AnouchkaGérard #Dourone #MaoYuqiu #RickoLeung #SimonaMihaelaStoia #YizhiWan #ToninhoDingl #Galeriejslash #jpsgallery

Raisa Kabir’s solo exhibition Tiger, Tiger. Silk Throat opens today at Indigo + Madder, London . In the exhibition, Raisa Kabir explores the interwoven themes of empire, migration, climate change, and queer resistance through complex woven textiles. Using the historic lampas weaving technique, once reserved for imperial splendor. Kabir reclaims the medium to expose hidden tensions and structures, both in cloth and history. Her works reflect on the fragile, shifting landscapes of the Bengal delta, the trauma of displacement, and the cyclical nature of colonial violence and environmental collapse. Raisa Kabir is a London-based artist whose woven text/textiles and performances materialise the cultural politics of cloth, migration, and resistance. Her works have been shown at institutions including the Whitworth, Whitechapel Gallery, Arnolfini, and the Ford Foundation Gallery, New York. She was artist-in-residence at the Majhi International Art Residency 2023 (supported by DBF) held in Paris. Image : Courtesy of the artist .

The Majhi International Art Residency, initiated by the Durjoy Bangladesh Foundation (DBF), embarked on its voyage five years ago, with the goal of creating a unique platform for artistic exploration and cultural exchange. The word ‘Majhi - মাঝি ‘ means boatman or skipper, someone who ferries passengers from place to place, symbolizing the residency’s dynamic and fluid nature. This unique model of residency is a traveling one, without any fixed place or theme, allowing artists to explore new environments and ideas. With each edition, our metaphorical boat has sailed toward new horizons, welcoming diverse talents and ideas from across South Asia—an incredible journey that has spanned four editions in Venice, Berlin, Eindhoven, and Paris. Throughout these voyages, 35 remarkable artists have joined us, each bringing a unique perspective that enriched our collective experience and fostered a spirit of collaboration. Looking back, we are filled with gratitude for everyone who has been part of this journey—our artists, supporters, and audiences. Your enthusiasm and engagement have been the wind in our sails. Thank you for being part of this extraordinary journey—we can’t wait to see where the boat sails next!
