It’s feeling very autumnal in our farmhouse now 🍂🧡🤎 candles, cosy fires, getting the Aga on hot and a good Sunday roast are in order! The mama hen led her chicks out of the barn for the first time this evening and it was so sweet seeing them all exploring but staying very close to their mama 🧡

So these were a very lovely bolt out of the blue.

One of our lovely customers Jo, who is involved with her family business, @smithandmunson, sent me these gorgeous pollen free rose lilies as a thank you for sharing some of their posts on my stories. I am not sure why as I share lots of things that interest me from this page, I was however incredibly grateful to receive them - lilies are one of my favourite flowers. As are tulips & peonies❤️

Although slightly overwhelmed i am never one to to miss a trick 😉 so I messaged Jo to say thank you & very cheekily asked if she would consider giving all our Artichoke Girls a small discount - she said YES !!!!!

Ignore the code I speak about in the reel (I have corrected it in captions) it is ARTICHOKE10 - pop it in at the checkout to get 10% discount on your first order. I think I will use mine for some Christmas tulips 🌷🌷🌷 what could be nicer on Christmas Day?

As well as individual purchases they offer subscriptions too. I know it is too early to mention The C word, unless of course it is all about us. Wouldn’t you like to have a beautiful bunch of flowers delivered to you every month? It’s time to start dropping some hints girls …..

I’m rather enjoying the colour in the bedroom at the moment. There’s something about autumn that makes a little bit of pink feel especially welcome. 🌸

These Pink Roselilies from @smithandmunson are not only beautiful to look at, but the smell is quite incredible too.

There’s something rather nice about opening a box of flowers and suddenly having something beautiful to enjoy for the next few days. Especially when it’s one of those flowers that makes you stop every time you walk past it.

I think I could quite happily have flowers like these around the house all year round.

The perfect gift for little girls? (And big)

Don’t just take our word for it…

We were so thrilled to spot our hand embroidered personalised headbands included in Smith & Munson’s gift edit — and then they sent us these gorgeous photos of their daughter wearing hers 🥹

A little something made just for them, embroidered by hand and designed to be kept long after the birthday has passed.

So yes, we might be biased… but we’re definitely not the only ones who think it makes a pretty perfect gift.

Less rushing, cosy suppers at home, the gentle glow of lamps, more time spent outdoors and resetting after a long and busy Summer.

Happy September 🍂✨🌸🤎

Even though I’m a summer girl at heart, I can’t help but feel a little excited as autumn starts to creep in. 🍂 There’s something special about September. The light becomes softer, the evenings get shorter and the colours around us begin to deepen. It’s the perfect excuse for candles and cosy evenings in the kitchen. I’m ready for blackberry picking, warm fruit crumbles with plenty of fresh cream, long country walks in wellies, chunky throws and hot baths that feel like a big hug at the end of the day. ✨🤎
September feels like that lovely in between moment holding onto the last little bits of summer while slowly welcoming everything cosy about autumn.🍂 🌸

What are your favourite things about September? 🍃🕯️🍁✨🍂

The relief of rain has me reflecting on the endless blur of heatwaves this summer in the latest installation of Vase Life. It’s been a near ruinous time for florists and flower growers. Three years into local-only sourcing, it’s clearer than ever that the case for British flowers only gets stronger. As always, I want to thank the farms that keep fighting for good flowers! You make my dreams come true every day.

Simplest way to get the most out of your Lillies…
- removing the pollen means no stains on your furniture or your hands but it also extends their life in the vase!!
