RIVER ROOM
The sunlit river room at the Wood’s home is styled in gentle tones of blue and cream, creating a calm and elegant atmosphere. Interior Decorator Will Huff selected classic 100% wool draperies in a Holland & Sherry fabric to frame the custom doors and windows crafted by Litewoods and installed by Buddy Wallace. Artwork by Jill Holland, sourced through Gregg Irby Gallery, adds visual interest, while floral pillow prints by Cowtan & Tout introduce a refined pattern. The side table and consoles are by Holland-Macrae, complemented by an Oushak rug from Moattar Ltd. A flat-screen television by Oception TV blends seamlessly into the space, while hardwood flooring from Valley Fir grounds the room. The finishing touch comes from classic molding designed by Ray Brinegar.

KITCHEN
The spacious kitchen and breakfast room at the Wood’s home overlooks Lake Oliver, framed by floor-to-ceiling windows from Liteworks Window & Door LLC, expertly installed by Buddy Wallace, and accented by white oak ceiling beams. Appliances sourced from Daniel Appliance anchor the space, while pendant lights from Visual Comfort provide a refined glow. A custom hood by Smithworks Iron & Design adds a distinctive focal point, complemented by cabinetry from Stewart Custom Cabinets. Taj Mahal quartzite from Marmi Natural Stone, used for both the countertops and backsplash, completes the room with a unified and elegant finish. Photography by Jessie Preza

Holiday weekends are for gathering, and who doesn’t love to meet up around the kitchen island for coffee and conversation? Kitchens need to feel beautiful, but also welcoming and practical for the way a family really lives. This one became such a special spot with custom fabrics, a stunning tile backsplash and so much natural light. Plus, the showstopper zinc kitchen hood takes this area to the next level!

“He was a man, take him for all in all, I shall not look upon his like again…”

-William Shakespeare

I forgot to mention it on the day, but the man who I named this account after, my grandfather Sidney Thomas Collins, would have been 100 years old on 3/20/2026.

He was a heck of a guy, a real badass in his way, one of the finest men I’ve ever known, and he taught me some of the things that remain fundamental to the best parts of me.

He’s been gone 32 years in a few days coming up. I miss him and think of him every single day.
