Roughly eight hours after this was taken at the a24 Emmys party, Baby Mae was born. @katerwitz might be the hardest working manager in Hollywood, probably the most pregnant at that moment, indisputably the most fun and my favorite.

Wonderful new article about @sylvaniamovie and its Filmmaker @smitty4657

@seanfennessey you love movie history and little details - did you know that Kyle Smith’s first film was fully financed from winnings he made on a game show? True story.

Witness the boldest and most exciting voices in independent cinema with the FFF Narrative Features Competition! Featuring incredible new talent, alongside familiar faces such as Udo Kier, Jamie Lee Curtis, and David Dastmalchian, here are some of the Narrative Features screening in this year’s festival:

⭐️ Return from Tomorrow – After the loss of his father (Udo Kier), a middle-aged dad spirals into a Lynchian crisis of masculinity while on family vacation in Miami in this audacious and subversive follow-up to Randy Moore’s (in)famously filmed-in-secret Disney World fever-dream Escape from Tomorrow (2013).

⭐️ Ride or Die – Paula reconnects with her high school crush and, as the sparks fly, is pulled into her chaotic orbit, embarking on a doomed road trip.

⭐️ Sender – Newly sober and attempting a fresh start, a woman begins receiving packages she never ordered—each more unnervingly personal than the last—in this stylish paranoid thriller. Rhea Seehorn, David Dastmalchian, and Jamie Lee Curtis co-star.

⭐️ Sylvania – Gracie and Stewart, on the brink of divorce, embark on a family road trip to visit Gracie’s estranged father who is in the early stages of dementia. Once there, Gracie mines her father for stories of the long-dead mother she never really knew.

⭐️ Valentina – During a 48-hour period at the U.S. and Mexico’s busiest border crossing, resolving an ordinary parking ticket is derailed by family, friends, Valentina’s own apathy, and the maddening bureaucracy of the system.

The 2026 Florida Film Festival takes place April 10-19. See more Narrative Features and grab your tickets at the link in our bio or at floridafilmfestival.com
