Nobody knows everything.
And nobody should feel embarrassed to ask questions.

The DJ game is changing. The way we find music, organize music, practice, perform, and even stream music is evolving.

Some DJs grew up with crates.
Some came up on CDs and USBs.
Some built libraries through downloads.
And now DJs are using streaming services and new technology to access music in ways that weren’t even available years ago.

That doesn’t make one DJ better than another.

At Backspinz, we’re here to help you understand the tools, the techniques, and the culture — whether you’re just learning what a cue point is or you’ve been behind the decks for 20 years.

Ask the question.
Try something new.
Make the mistake.
Learn from it.
Help somebody else when you can.

No judgment. Just growth.

Because the goal isn’t to prove who knows the most.

The goal is to make sure everybody gets better.

Much Love & Respect to @smittyblac
DJs WALKING WITH SURVIVORS 💗

This one is bigger than the music.

Step out, Show up, and walking WITH the survivors, fighters, families, and everyone affected by breast cancer.

Because sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is simply be there.

We bring the energy.
We bring the music.
We bring the love.
And we walk together. 💪🏾💗

🎶 DJs Walking With Survivors
🎀 For the fighters. For the survivors. For the ones we remember. For the families standing beside them.

Let’s make some noise, spread some love, and show what community looks like.

@backspinz — We don’t just play music. We build community. 🫶🏾

Plot twist: the instructor is LOVING being the student. 🎧🥹💜

DJing has truly been one of my saving graces lately. In a season where I’m learning myself all over again, getting behind the controller has given me a space to create, be present, learn, and just HAVE FUN.

Yesterday, I had the honor of being one of DJ Smitty Blac’s students at Backspinz, and I’m soaking up ALL the knowledge I can. 🙌🏾

I don’t know exactly where this DJ journey is taking me yet…but I’m having way too much fun finding out. 🥰🎶

Now y’all tell me…how did I do on this mix?! 👀🔥 Drop your thoughts in the comments!

The greatest of them all is a servant.

True leadership isn’t about being above everyone—it’s about making sure everyone is good to the best of your ability.

You check on people.
You pour into people.
You make room for others to grow.
You help without always expecting something in return.

Because when you have the ability to make someone’s journey a little better, why wouldn’t you?

Serve. Lead. Pour back. Build others up.

That’s greatness. 💯
