POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Latine Heritage Month occurs every year from September 15th - October 15th. As a reader, I recognize that stories written by Latine authors/or featuring Latine characters do not get the love and attention they deserve in the book community. Here are 9 sapphic books featuring Latine characters.

Books Featured:
Like First Love Again by @thejjarias
A Little Sin by @rawniesabor
Shooting for Las Estrellas by @klhernandezauthor
The Christmas Pic by @smokeshow.press
An Island Princess Starts a Scandal by @ladriana_herrera
Ice Princesses by @mariarigouauthor
Hot Tea & Bird Calls by @eviewritesbooks
The Lesbiana’s Guide to Catholic School by @sonidoreyes

There’s so much goodness woven through the dark.

In this episode, Ella Schaefer talks about how romance balances heavier themes with joy, as seen in Heated Rivalry, which is exactly what makes us funny, resilient, and human.

Welcome back to my 2026 Monthly Favorites series!

🗓 If you’re just joining us, every month I crown one book as my top sapphic romance read and add it to the chart. By the end of the year, we’ll have 12 incredible sapphic stories that defined 2026 for me.

(DM me for the blank template if you want to make your own version)

🔒February’s pick is locked in and has been living in my head rent-free all month long.

Sweet Talk by Rena Sapon-White and Ella Schaefer (@smokeshow.press).

Ben & Jerry’s meets Colbert, but make it sapphic and spicy. Noa and Aarti wrecked me in the best possible way, the third-act breakup actually earned its place (yes, really), and I finished this book and immediately added it to my re-read list.

Friendly reminder that it’s never too late to add February’s favorite to your TBR 🍦

What makes sapphic romance feel so electric right now?

In today’s episode, we sit down with Rena Sapon White and Ella Schaefer, creators of @smokeshow.press and authors of The Christmas Pick and Sweet Talk, to talk about desire, rivalry, audience appetite, and what it really takes to write queer love stories that feel honest.

We explore why readers are craving slow burns, and tension you can almost taste. If you’ve ever wondered how queer romance gets built from spark to page, this one’s for you.

What’s your favorite sapphic romance trope?
