The @oneshothairawards has inspired me, pushed me, elevated both me and my career in ways I can barely describe. Last year, I made a promise. A promise to be better than I was the year before. A promise to pay forward all that I have received from this show.

In the year that’s passed, I’ve traveled the world, I’ve celebrated my friends and I’ve gone above and beyond what I thought I was capable of. I sit here now in awe that for the second year in a row, I have 13 nominations. I am a 12 time hotshot nominee, a first time BIGSHOT nominee and will be returning to @thebtcshow AS AN EDUCATOR.

I do not have a massive following, I am in a studio with no windows and no assistant, I do not have a professional camera or fancy equipment.

This is your reminder…THERE IS NOTHING STOPPING YOU FROM REALIZING YOUR DREAMS!

When creating blends with direct dyes it’s important to remember a few things,

- CLEAN sections and clean hands are key to keeping color where you want it. Have a towel and a brush nearby!

- SATURATE the section where you want that color to POP.

- PLACEMENT matters. For bold or bright colors, leave space in between - this allows room for blending without muddiness. For softer or pastel colors, slightly overlap marrying the shades together. This will ensure you have no hollow or missed spots!

- HANDS are the best blending tool in your kit! Once your color is applied, use the palm of your hand or your fingers to blend the shades together. Keep your tensions on the section and the pressure light and watch your blend come to life.
