I’m very grateful to Smooth Friend (Elisabeth!) for publishing my account of the most holy interaction I’ve had all year, alongside the talented and ecclesiastical Terrence Arjoon (@terrencearjoon).

The poem, “Philothea tells me that I am a Gate” is basically a direct transcription of my time spent with a Romanian nun in the basement of Timisoara’s largest church. I’d just scattered my grandmother’s ashes in her hometown hours before and I felt the nun, Philothea, could in some way tell.

link in bio with the full poem (the text pictured is just one part!)🥺🥰
