One of my biggest career moments was being highlighted by Mat Ishbia, President and CEO of UWM and the owner of the Phoenix Suns and Phoenix Mercury basketball teams as an example of how to win a client with excellence in customer service, speed, and commitment in the mortgage industry. In front of thousands on a national stage, Mat shared my text emphasizing how crucial it is to be fast, reliable, and client-focused to excel in our industry. He used my example to illustrate that going above and beyond for clients not only sets a standard but also builds lasting relationships, inspiring others in the industry to adopt the same level of dedication and responsiveness. Hearing my hard work and commitment recognized on such a scale was incredibly validating and reinforced the importance of the values I bring to my business every day.

I’ve learned so much from Mat—his relentless drive, dedication to excellence, and unwavering focus on the client have profoundly influenced my career. His leadership has shown me the importance of setting the bar high and constantly striving to exceed client expectations. Having my story shared by someone I respect so deeply made this achievement even more meaningful and has further inspired me to uphold these values in everything I do.

I have been in the mortgage world for less than four years and was recently recognized as being one of four Founders and the only mortgage company who is transforming the US Fintech Ecosystem. I have worked in five industries and my main goal has always been to leave every client, employee and partner better off than they were coming in. The Smooth Mortgage Company process is a process of transparency through education to the borrower and the real estate agent on what wholesale is versus retail and banks. You will never lose by doing the right thing.

There should be nothing profound about being supportive and kind to others but we don’t hear enough about it. I was invited to a private screening of The Mummy Returns while working on The Scorpion King. Everyone had wonderful things to say about Brendan Fraser and The Rock was one of the kindest people I have ever met. It’s no surprise to me that they are both incredibly successful more than 20 years after their careers started. Be supportive and kind and find people who are genuinely supportive and kind of you.💘

Smooth Mortgage Company has 20 years of experience, we also have a tax side of our business which allows us to understand the full financial picture of our client. Working with lenders like UWM and having phenomenal inside processing has allowed us to get loans approved in a day. Being a wholesale lender we have the ability to shop around to get the most competitive rate, we have never lost a loan to rates…
