A moment for — YEEHAW HALF HIGHLIGHTS — wow the second annual coastal yeehaw half was such a blast. @bynaturalfreedom 🌟🌈 The sun was shining, the energy was magnetic, the rainbow stayed up even with 60km winds, there was so many fun volunteer stations, we added a 10km option this year, doubled the amount of runners, offered early check-in, had amazing merch!! Shoutout @jessicasoparlo and @zackshoom, brought a 4ft celebratory post-race cake (thank you @brittany_venables @tofinocoffeeroastingcompany), hosted an awesome apres at @shelterrestaurant with a custom electrolyte cocktail. We galloped our way through the day and had so much fun!!!! This started off as such a simple idea with @jenny_mc — make a training plan and work towards a running goal together.. then celebrate with an unsanctioned race surrounded by other likeminded folks. This concept started back in 2022 and since then we have done 2 in Whistler and now 2 in Tofino which feels surreal. Now it feels like our annual quality catchup time but no matter what when we hit the 16km mark we think “what the hell were we thinking planning this whole thing and running it too!” It’s all for fun and my face hurt from smiling all weekend ❤️ grateful for my gals who help bring this to life @urgirlvic @rileyannenowlan @fernlyceramics. Grateful for @brodypigeau to take 4 full days off during his season to help and be #1 volunteer! Also 🩵 Massive thank you to all my amazing friends for supporting this event!!! Thank you to everyone who volunteered!!!! Thank you to everyone who trained all spring and ran!!! Thank you to all the brands and businesses for supporting. It means the world and I’m still on a high from this weekend!
