Let’s talk about my #17 burger in Chicago and THE best value burger in the city…the “Cheeseburger” at @fancycocktailbar (Best Intentions).

$6. That’s it. And you’re getting an 8.5/10 burger. I’m taking this over Red Hot Ranch — and it’s cheaper. Preliminary hood popping….

-*Mustard & onion-griddled beef patty* 🐄
-Land O’Lakes white American cheese 🇺🇸🧀
-Crunchy dill pickles 🍆🍆
-*House joppiesaus — sweet/tangy Dutch-style curry mayo* 🔥
-Martin’s potato roll 🥔

Super soft bun, phenomenal beef, and that joppiesaus brings it all together. Nothing fancy, nothing unnecessary — just a killer no-frills cheeseburger.

For $6, I don’t think there’s a better burger deal in Chicago.

some everyday favorites, some new spots and a few meals that genuinely earned a spot in my top 10. Crying Tiger, Arla, and Gilt Bar — I’m still thinking about you.

august food finds — only a month late, it’s fine - was busy eating

pizza on the balcony, plenty of pasta, sushi, tacos, cocktails and a lot of really good reasons to keep eating my way through chicago.

Highlights were Mott Street, Carmines, and Tanta!

It was so hard not to put this burger at #1, but I’ve got it coming in at #5 on my Chicago burger rankings. @susu.chicago in the West Loop is an absolute home run, and they only serve 13 of these bad boys a day. Let’s look under the hood:

🥯 Sesame Brioche Bun
🥩 6 oz Australian Wagyu Beef Patty
🥓 Wagyu Beef Bacon Jam
🧀 Raclette Parmesan Craft Single
🍄 Black Truffle Kosho Aioli
🥒 Homemade Dill Pickle

Everything about this burger just works. The Wagyu patty is incredibly juicy, the bacon jam adds that sweet and savory punch, and the raclette Parmesan and black truffle kosho aioli take the flavor to another level. It’s rich, messy, and absolutely loaded with flavor.

Logistics: My advice is to get there 10–15 minutes before they open, grab a seat wherever you can, and order the burger immediately. With only 13 available each day, these are going to start disappearing fast now that the word is out. I’m a little sad to give up the secret…but I do it for the fans. 😂🍔

One of the best new burgers I’ve had in Chicago and officially cracking my Top 5.

🚨 The “Shorty’s Smash” burger inside @deserthawkbar in Wicker Park is a top 10 burger in Chicago 🚨. The first thing that grabs my short attention span is the very original cheddar skirt…a crispy, caramelized blanket of cheese hanging off every side of the burger like it’s trying to escape the bun. It adds an incredible crunch and salty bite that takes every big mouthful to another level. Let’s take a look under the hood of @shortys312 burg….

-Double Smash Patties 🐄

I absolutely recommend this burger to anyone in Chicago and would def go out of my way to get it. I thought since I’d been to every burger spot in the city at this point there weren’t any good ones left…but this was outstanding. The chef is ELITE and every combo in this burger has perfect chemistry. Also has Top 6 wings in Chicago (Lemon Pepper). Thank you Droogies 🤡 🕰️ 🍊 💪🏻.

April food finds - from chicago brunches to vegas dinners… safe to say I ate well this month

if you ever catch yourself out in bolingbrook… just know this is your sign to pull up to pier 9 😌

we went all in and it did not disappoint —
chicken gyoza to start (obviously),
the jalapeño bomb… insane, like order-two-level good,
and seared pepper tuna that actually hits

roll lineup went crazy:
rainbow, lobster, sweet heart (the cutest for pics),
and the green dragon… easily our favorite

good vibes, fresh sushi, and one of those spots you lowkey wish you found sooner 🥢✨
