The cohort started their eight week course with a studio session at MESS and a visit to @vmdo’s High Score conference.

Before the release of DAYDREAM tomorrow, I just wanted to say thank you to the following people who gave so much of their time and effort to this album, and to ones who were there for me when the nights were darkest. I'm so grateful to everyone who's still listening, and I hope the album will mean something to you as it did for me.

This record would not have crossed the finish line without the kindness, hard work and patience of @theodoralau, @sugi.wa and @aneirin_w. Thank you for everything.

“Where is your Faith” – 𝑤𝑜𝑟𝑑. A verse for my women, & anyone who has had to navigate the long road of love & heartache in this life… it can seem as if it is to test our faith. You will come back to your heart.

Getting this live performance out has taken a bit, but I’m excited to be sharing the first excerpt from our 𝑭𝑭 𝑻𝒓𝒊𝒐 𝑴𝒆𝒍𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒏𝒆 𝑰𝒏𝒕’ 𝑱𝒂𝒛𝒛 𝑭𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒂𝒍 𝑷𝒆𝒓𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 @melbjazzfestival

It was magic to find ourselves performing to a packed band room at Mamma Chen’s Footscray. Big life and energy in that room, it felt like the music just carried itself and we could have played forever.
The show holds a special place in my heart.

Feat. these incredible musicians
🥁 Ebs Daramola @ebsdaramola
🎸 Yeo @snackswithyeo
+ special guest 🎷 Andre Lew @way_out_east

… and 🎤🎹 Freedom Fly (me 🌚)

I’m proud of this performance and how the music has come along at this point in time. It’s taken a lot of courage and dedication to get it out here. There’ll be more of that required… but so grateful to be able to share it and have it resonate with people- as it is, right now.

Thank you to my friends who have been coming out to support me. It’s an honour to be able to connect and communicate to people, spiritually and emotionally, through music.

Shout-out to Tom @ausgovernmentofficial on sound and the crew @mammachens , we couldn’t have been placed at a better venue. Support these guys because they are true lovers and facilitators of great live music.
