Red is now a big brother! Congrats @snackzoto and Dani for making such a perfect little nugget ❤️ I realize that as the mother to her half brother, I have no official title or status but I’m claiming G’Auntie (big Gay Auntie) and I promise, Olive, to coach Red as best I can on being a kind human so maybe he won’t terrorize you like my big sister did. I’m looking at you @meldeeeeee 😘 So stoked to have a baby in the orbit to spoil and sing to. #gauntie #newbaby #coparenting

He’s so much cooler, smarter, intuitive, and empathetic than I ever was or will be. He’s hilarious. Next level sensitive. I can barely keep up. But as someone who is also an empath and as his mother I see him and where he’s coming from. We’re so close. We operate on similar planes. We have a long history he and I. I hope he looks back and can say- my mom was a badass bitch. But for now I hope we can survive living in captivity together 🐯 #sagittarius #gemini #motherson #quarantine #teadragonsociety #supermario #queermom

He wanted to set up “stage lights” for the circus show we were rehearsing in my room. He’s totally my child. #quarantine

Things Red said to me today “Mom, you’re the best teacher.” And later while we were hanging out eating snacks on Mount Tabor he looks at me and says “I love going on adventures with you.” 😭 I think this impromptu homeschooling/stay at home mom/unemployed shit is gonna work out okay. Not pictured here is the epic backyard campfire “smoreo” (Oreo+toasted marshmallow) session we had with @thundergoddess666 💘 #unintentionalstayathomemom #funemployment #mulletsforthewin

Into the woods looking for salamanders, tadpoles, owls and oak apples. I’m going to spend the next month focusing on teaching him all about volcanoes so we can travel around visiting the ones around us and go rock hound for igneous rocks! #geologynerd #unintentionalstayathomemom #funemployed #adventure

Just the idea of being cooped up inside makes me crazy. So we went to the coast to practice social distancing and agate hunting. Found no agates but we did each get two desserts at the Dairy Queen drive through so 🧨 #makingthebestofit #oregoncoast #sundayfunday

Red joined Cub Scouts just in time for their annual Pine Wood Derby. We made a super cute Toad racer and while he didn’t win any races he placed a solid second and third 🍄🏆

Here’s some future hipster content for you- my son snuggled up in bed with a quartz crystal because he’s sick and wants it’s powers to make him feel better 😅 #hisideanotmine #whateverworks #crystalpower

For your consideration- the mullet my child is intentionally cultivating. Also his teacher told me today that he schooled one of the aides on how he thought boys and girls bathrooms were silly cause it shouldn’t matter what your gender is to use the bathroom 🙌 #thatsmykid #haircutsbymom #mulletsofinstagram

Red’s latest favorite toys are a handful of vintage stirrers. He’s tucked them in and right now they’re debating what bedtime story I’m going to tell them. Flamingo wants a Mario story but bright green palm tree says no and wants a story about the human body but Flamingo is five years old and is bigger and knows martial arts so he’s winning the debate. #bedtime #imaginationsgonewild
