🔦 🤩 Business Spotlight: Filling Good 🤩 🔦 Today we're shining a light on community refill and zero-waste shop @fillinggoodltd, located at 22 High Street (watch out for their wonderful window, painted by @snailvalley). Filling Good helps you minimise waste and single-use plastic, offering refills on over 200 products. Most people begin refilling washing-up liquid and soon move on to other cleaning products, free of harsh chemicals! Filling Good stocks many organic products and is a huge supporter of local suppliers: honey, bread, granola, coffee and skincare - all supporting Maidenhead's economy. You can also shop a range of sustainable products and unique gifts and gift cards. If you’d like to get going on your Christmas shopping a little early this year, this is a great place to start! Here’s another glimpse at some of the amazing makers joining us this weekend at Abney Public Hall on 11th and 12th April! @fernandamaria____ @listenjournal @hookerldn @ellenamorganartwork @lechu_cosas @snailvalley @fernandamaria____ is a graphic designer and illustrator based in Barcelona. Her project is an illustration practice inspired by nature: plants, animals, the sky, and more. Blue is present in almost every piece - I’m obsessed! @listenjournal is an independent print media focusing on the lived experience of women of colour. We will be selling our book “On Motherhood” alongside small paper goods (journals, prints) & handmade ceramic objects @hookerldn was created from a love of crochet, colour, and texture. Charlotte is a freelance fashion stylist, and the brand began as a small passion project when she crocheted bags as gifts for her bridesmaids @ellenamorganartwork is a linocut printmaker whose work is inspired by british nature and coastlines, wild swimming and and the beauty in everyday life. @lechu_cosas is based on handmade ceramics and illustrations. Trini’s pieces are usually decorative and small in size. Trini draws inspiration in nature @snailvalley creates stickers, greetings cards, jewellery, art prints, and coasters. Everything is designed by Leah, 0% AI, and largely made at home by Leah as well! Don’t forget we will be at Abney Public Hall on 11th and 12th april from 11:30am-5pm 💜 - 30 female owned small businesses to shop from on both days - sweet treats from @thesnackist.london - lots of coffee shops and food to have nearby! - a market on a street filled with independent businesses! #womenwillcreate #makersmarket #shopsmall #smallbusiness #thingstodoinstokenewington

#310126 - Didn't manage to stop at all the stalls, and not enough funds to buy from everyone I'd have liked to! But a selection of sellers we stopped and talked with at the first @thecraftandflea at K2 Leisure Centre in Crawley. This seemed to fly under the radar for all the local sellers and potential buyers I know, and I only heard about it last minute, by pure chance - so hopefully, it returns, and word spreads a little further! Now gotta go through and try and find them all cos there also wasn't enough service in the sports hall for the qr scans to go through! #craftandflea

The Maiden and the Swans have undergone a stunning transformation after 33 years! Huge thanks to Richard Grant, Leah, Sheila, Nivi, Good Gym,Presto and many more for their skills, time & energy! We're still raising funds for extra materials, but thanks to donations from the public, Cleggs, and David Walker, we're getting closer. Eunice Goodman, the sculptor, will soon see her masterpiece shining again. Thanks to Team Maiden and Friends of Ray Mill Island for pulling this off!#raymillisland #community #maidenheadriverside #maidenhead #communityaction #friendsofraymillisland #makeyoursoulhappy
