Hiking part 3: The Alpine Zone
The mountains are a beautiful place to enjoy nature. This hike brought me above tree line where rare and unique plants grow, one of which is the Robbins’ Cinquefoil (Potentilla robbinsiana). This plant grows on Mt . Washington and no where else ON THE EARTH! 😮When hiking here one must take care to walk on the marked trails or on rocks to protect this unique ecosystem. Do you have areas you ride or hike that implement ways to protect nature.
