Here’s a nice trick. When Plymouth feels a bit loud, you can swap it for Cornish countryside in the time it takes to decide what drink you want.

Pop over for lunch, grab a pint in front of the fire, then wander the park like it’s your own private estate. You’ll be back before anyone even realises you’ve escaped.

Plymouth’s secret country pub you’ve seen but never been to. 🍻

The owner of the photo, @snapperurban, captured this moment during a party held at Saltram House in Plymouth, during the filming of Sense and Sensibility in the 1990s. Invited to the party, @snapperurban met Alan Rickman and Emma Thompson. Both were cheerful and a little tipsy. The photo reflects a candid and genuine memory from that night.

I sincerely thank @snapperurban for immortalizing that evening and this beautiful moment. This photo reminded me once again of how much I miss Alan and of the warmth he carried through life.

Some moments are more than just photographs…
They touch a heart, bring back a moment in time. 💫

I saw this photo of Alan Rickman for the first time and my heart skipped a beat. 💗
Thanks to @talv_olen for kindly sharing this special moment with me. 🥹🙏🏼
No words are enough to express my gratitude.
It’s in photos like this that we feel the ache of his absence and the warmth of his everlasting presence. 🤍
Forever grateful, Alan. Always. 🤍🪽🕊️
