It’s Lolla week (DUH), Chicago 🎧🪩

Four days of nonstop music at Grant Park, plus a full week of aftershows and events across the city. Whether you have a pass or not, there are plenty of ways to join in on the fun. Plus, we’re still giving away tickets to select Lollapalooza aftershows (like Greta Van Fleet at the Metro)! 🎟️

Who are you most excited to see this year? Let us know in the comments 👇

Need more plans beyond the fest? We’ve got your aftershows, parties, giveaways, and everything else happening around Chicago at Do312.com 🤘

📸 by: snapsbytodd •• She spent decades walking Chicago’s streets with a Rolleiflex, snapping over 150,000 photos — as a nanny. Vivian Maier’s work sat undiscovered until an auctioned storage locker changed everything after her 2009 death. Now she stares back at you from a Wicker Park wall, painted by Brazilian muralist Eduardo Kobra. A street photographer immortalized in street art. Chicago has a way of honoring the people it didn’t fully appreciate the first time around.

📸 by: snapsbytodd •• Chicago has been crossing the river at Wells Street since 1841 — first on a floating wooden bridge, then a swing bridge that survived (barely) the Great Fire of 1871, and finally this double-deck bascule, built in 1922. It’s one of only two movable bridges in the city that carries both cars below and an L train above, with the Brown and Purple lines rolling over it roughly 700 times a day. The steel frame has been framing this skyline for over a century.

Earlier this month we revealed the cover of the 2026 neighborhood guide at our Annual Neighborhood Guide Launch Party. Prior to the release, we teased that the cover would feature a piece by an artist whose work is already prominently featured in a local neighborhood mural. If you guessed Eduardo Kobra’s mural of Vivian Maier, then you were correct!

Kobra (@kobrastreetart), whose larger-than-life murals can be found all over the world, completed his homage to late street photographer Vivian Maier in 2017 – the same year his nine-story tribute to blues legend Muddy Waters was unveiled in the Loop, by the corner of N State and Washington.

The Vivian Maier mural is located at the 1600 block of W North Avenue and is part of the city’s official registry. Now the piece can also be found at local shops in the Wicker Park Bucktown area on the cover of the official neighborhood guide!
