🎬 ECHOES OF DARKNESS

⭐ Star Wars Fan Film

I'm posting another clip from this incredible 2025 short from Sneaky Zebra for a simple reason: I totally failed to credit one of the actors, Charlie Bond, in the previous post - sorry @misscharliebond! In this impersonal age of social media, with so much IP violation and plain piracy going on, I try my best to make sure everyone working on these amazing films is tagged and credited where possible. If I ever miss anyone, please let me know!

If you haven't caught this short yet, please do. It's so well made and is a perfect example of what's possible even on a low budget when film fans pull together out of sheer love for what they're creating.

I chose this particular clip because I'm really into droid designs, and I tend to repost a lot of cool prop makers working on droids, so it's great to see this perfectly made bug eyed beauty on screen with all the whizzy servo noises doing exactly what they should. Spot on. 🤖

Please watch it in cinematic widescreen on your home setup once you get off your phone. 😄

🎬 ECHOES OF DARKNESS

⭐ Star Wars Fan Film

Another clip from this frankly fantastic short from Sneaky Zebra.

Besides the incredible sets, costumes and effects, I really like the characterisation in Echoes of Darkness. The choice of quirky characters and how they're played together makes for a well-paced, dynamic short that's full of action without leaning solely on special effects. Great direction and execution.

As far as I can tell there's no AI involved here — just raw commitment from a team of filmmakers of every kind pulling together to realise something highly watchable.

This clip also gives a better look at that lovely Corellian ship design too. 🚀

Set almost 30 years after Return of the Jedi, a ragtag crew of scavengers are hired to find a relic on the Forest Moon of Endor — unaware of just how dangerous their employer is or what they've actually got their hands on. Real actors, brilliant practical work, great photography. Watch it in FULL SCREEN not on your phone :)

Just look at those sets. 😮

The prop work, the scenography, the costumes — the level of attention to detail in this 2025 short is frankly crazy for a fan production made on just $13k. This team has pulled off something that genuinely feels like a slice of the Star Wars side-universe brought to life. Fantastic.

Set almost 30 years after Return of the Jedi, a ragtag crew of scavengers are hired to find a relic on the Forest Moon of Endor — unaware of just how dangerous their employer is or what they've actually got their hands on.

It's a longer short than most featured here, and it earns every minute. Great photography, solid CGI, brilliant practical work — and for the AI-phobes — real actual human actors doing cool stuff. ✅

I had a genuinely hard time picking which clip to feature because there are so many great moments in this one. More to come.
