I felt absolutely radiant in this outfit‼️🖤🥹🦅✨ Not only was I dancing for my immediate family, but also trying my best to represent my Meskwaki (Sac & Fox) family from Tama, Iowa & Stroud, Oklahoma. 💜❤️💚🩵💚❤️💜

I had been looking forward to dancing in @n33naaa ‘s woodland scrub special for quite some time & was inspired to create my very own Meskwaki style appliqué scrub outfit. I am elated with how this skirt, hair wrap & shirt came out — I honestly couldn’t have done it without my cousin Candice Sanache’s @c_anthea encouragement & my mother Shirl’s @snyder.style master sewing skills. I’m very grateful & will forever be in debt to her for making it look so clean with my swirly vine & floral appliqué design. & big thanks to my sister @shelbythestang for allowing me to borrow her necklaces🫶🏽

Next, I will make more necklaces, along with some new moccs to match & gather all of the right beadwork pieces to complete the look.💫🌹

I am blessed to have a connection to this traditional style of dance & will always do my best to represent it appropriately. I will continue dancing & learning & can’t wait to be out in the cirlce with my niece @delcie.sanache + all of my relatives again soon! ✨💚❤️➕❤️💚✨

Beauty is the thought.. These shapes + colors ruminate in my mind & become a physical manifestation from my heart, mind, body & spirit.

I am in LOVE with my new jingle dress. I feel I have perfected my silhouette while designing a dress that is original + ICONIC.
