What a day for our young tubists! 21 youth tubists came together for the SNYO x BDA(S) Tuba Classroom, a fruitful day of learning from Mr Tomoki Natsume, Principal Tubist of the Singapore Symphony Orchestra. This event was made possible as a collaboration between @snyo.sg and BDA(S). Our heartfelt thanks to Mr Teo Kay Min and Mr Gabriel Song for their support at this event. Grateful for partners who continue to invest in the growth of our young wind musicians.

🎻 Behind the music 🇸🇬🇯🇵 A few moments from our rehearsals during the Japan–Singapore Youth Music Exchange Programme 2026. From the first notes to the final ensemble, it was incredible to watch our young musicians listen, learn and grow together - finding their sound as an orchestra while getting to know one another along the way. Four days, countless rehearsals, lots of hard work… and plenty of laughter in between. ❤️ These moments behind the scenes are just as meaningful as the concert itself. And now, we’re looking forward to bringing the exchange across the sea to Japan! 🇯🇵🎻 #BridgesInMusic #BridgesAcrossTheSea #JapanSingaporeYouthMusicExchange #SJ60 #SingaporeJapan

Bridges Across the Sea SJ60 Gala Concert 🇸🇬🇯🇵🎻 What an incredible four days of music, friendship and cultural exchange! The Japan–Singapore Youth Music Exchange Programme 2026 brought together young musicians from Singapore and Japan for rehearsals, masterclasses, cultural exchange and, finally, a wonderful Gala Concert at NAFA Lee Foundation Theatre. From Akutagawa and Bach to Elgar, Chen Zhangyi and Vivaldi, and from Japanese and Singaporean folk songs to the friendships formed along the way - this exchange was a celebration of how music can bring people together across borders. A huge thank you to all our young musicians, faculty, partners, families and everyone who helped make this inaugural exchange possible. This is only the beginning. 🌏🎶 📸: @junyi___ #BridgesInMusic #BridgesAcrossTheSea #JapanSingaporeYouthMusicExchange #SJ60

Day 2 morning 🎻 A morning of music, mentorship and inspiration with Yoichi Yamashita, Concertmaster of the Magdeburg Philharmonic Orchestra (Germany) Four young violinists took to the stage for our violin masterclass, while the rest of the ensemble listened, learned and supported their fellow musicians. Because a masterclass isn’t just about the person playing - it’s about everyone learning together. 🎶 #JSYMEP2026 #BridgesAcrossTheSea #BridgesInMusic #SingaporeJapan #sj60
