BBC R1 BIG WEEKEND NORTH EAST VISUALISER!! 😳✨❤️ made for the jumbo screens at the event before the headliners on Saturday and Sunday 🗣️

An absolute honour to direct and produce this mammoth of a visualiser for R1 Big Weekend, a film to celebrate the NORTH EAST made IN THE NORTH EAST and BY THE NORTH EAST set to music by artists FROM THE NORTH EAST!!!! From the nightlife to the delicacies to landscapes and coastlines to the busy city streets and residential areas, and of course, the footy, the GNR and all those that came before us. This was a labour of love by all involved to turn it around and get it ready, and I’m so unbelievably happy that it was well-received at the festival this past weekend!

How do you encapsulate everything in 4 mins?!? So much more we could have included, we would have been here for YEARS celebrating all our region has to offer, so a HUGE thank you to @thesocialco_ for the edit collaboration and getting it looking as good as it did on the screens and does here. Thanks to all the contributors for showcasing their respective areas and the legends at the BBC archive, to the BBC Radio 1 team for trusting me with this and for the unwavering support across the board.
