They told him change the sound. Change the style. Change the approach.

He chose NEVER.

When you build your own lane, you can’t let everybody else’s expectations become your blueprint. This is New Angeles — where the style is yours, the sound is yours, and the vision ain’t up for negotiation.

5. Duffel Bag featuring @uncteeri

What's so special about this record is that @uncteeri voice was used as an instrument. That's what make Ria so dope, she can be a vocalist, an m.c., she is multi talented. Anytime Ria comes to the studio with us, she just vibes, we never have a plan for her. Sigg just records and will ask her if she got something for us. Sometimes she sings. sometimes she raps, sometimes she is an additional producer.

4. There It Is

This the record that we as a team was waiting for. There It Is contains that "VAR" sound that everyone wants to label us. The 2nd verse is peak Sigg at its finest. "Had the black strapped Aqua's, number 8 Jordan's, to survive is to live learn the importance, I move like a don, eye contact she see the charm before the charm, flirtatious aura, Sigg could get her wet, without saying a word to her, & Sigg could make her drown & thats from her own fluids"

Reasonable cooked this beat too. Shoutout @so_reasonable

P.S. youll hear more from this record, hint hint

3. Highlights

Highlights was one of the earlier records recorded for SZN 1. What's dope about Highlights is that Sigg's voice and cadence was very specific. Also, you can hear this laughs throughout the entire album. Its little clues here & there if you pay attention. Shoutout to @alikaiamo & @jenayjordan, we not sure which voice is the actual laugh so we credit both.

POV: Pull The Car Up Front. A lot of, “yo, add this,” “nah,” “what you think that would sound like?” “Yo, I hear something right here,” “yo, what was that??” “I like that,” haha. This is what you don’t see. The care, the attention to detail. Bringing it all to life. Shouts to @akmixedit for always knowing what I’m trying to express. Engineer Extraordinaire! 2. 4 Deep

We purposely wanted this record to be the leadoff single. Salute @blaqboitcc for giving us the opportunity to debut this record LIVE in front of our city & hometown. People always put us in a box when it comes to that "VAR" sound. This is an upbeat type of production. A hook & bridge driven type of record.

Shoutout to @shotbydir.ty for delivering our vision for the short film.

Go run up the video on Youtube now!!

1. Pull The Car Up Front

We wanted to start the album off unexpected, disruption, and made sure sonically it sounded like anything out in the market place. The hook is special for this reason. When Sigg told us the song title, we knew what type of record this will be.

Sigg - “For the ‘he ain’t here’ mom, for the dad that’s always gone — thanks from the bottom of the heart, you raised stars”

Anyone with any dad issues, you probably never heard it like this before.
