Congo is bleeding every single day, and the world cannot continue to look away.

The suffering of the children of Congo has been normalized for far too long. Innocent children are growing up surrounded by war, fear, hunger, displacement, and trauma, while the world slowly becomes used to their pain.

In Congo, women are being raped. Children are terrified, unsure if they will see tomorrow. Fathers are being hunted, families are being torn apart and entire communities are being destroyed.

Children are the greatest victims of war. They are losing their homes, safety families, and their future.

If we do not rise, if we do not unite, if we do not speak and share the truth, thousands more innocent lives will continue to be lost. Silence is not an option anymore.

We are this generation’s chance to act. We must raise our voices, shine light into the darkness, and demand justice, share the stories,,... Let the world know what is happening before it is too late.

Children are not statistics. They are human beings with dreams, lives, and futures worth protecting.

Congo must live. Our people must survive.

We are the ones to tell our own story.
We are the ones to speak about Africa, to speak about Congo, to speak about Sudan… to speak about us.
We cannot wait for others to do it. We cannot wait for someone else to tell our truth.

We are here, on the ground, every day walking through communities, meeting children, young women, and families whose lives have been shaped by war, hunger, and struggle.
I have seen the smiles that hide so much pain. I’ve felt the quiet moments that speak louder than words.
As a volunteer, I have helped deliver convoys, share food, and bring care to those who need it most.
I’ve worked day and night with the team, and every effort, every moment, reminds me why this work matters.
Every child who smiles. Every young woman who finds hope. Every person who says “thank you” these are the gifts that cannot be measured, only felt.

The wars in the East of the Democratic Republic of Congo and in Sudan have left scars too deep to ignore.
Yet even in the darkness, there is hope. There is resilience. There is courage.

And in that, we find the reason to speak, the reason to act, the reason to fight for peace.
This is our story.
This is Africa’s story.
A and I will not wait for anyone else to tell it.
I will speak, act, I will stand for peace, for life, and for the future of our people.

I didn’t know what I wanted to be. And for a long time, I believed that was a failure.

Here in Beni, among children in the village whose lives have been shaped by struggles, I see their laughter, their curiosity, and their hope and it reminds me that life here is more about surviving than dreaming. In those days, it was God who safeguarded me and my family, and carried us through moments we did not understand.
I have survived many things.

Sometimes when I look back, I realize that my life is a big story a story of survival, faith, and grace. Because I had been taught that you had to know. That you had to have a clear answer to the question: “What do you want to do later in life?” But today, I realize that I didn’t need a title to exist.
I didn’t just want to be a doctor, a football player, or an engineer. I wanted to be happy. Brave. Alive. Free. I wanted to laugh loudly, love deeply, and impact lives gently but surely. I wanted sunlight in my voice, light in my steps, and joy in my bowl every morning. I wanted to fall asleep with a light heart, but with a mind full of meaning, trusting God for tomorrow.

And what if that was my work all along? To be fully myself, and to serve God and His people with the life He gave me. And what if that was the real success? Not in fitting into boxes, but in alignment. Not in “appearing,” but in feeling.

As I hold my phone among these children, I listen to their stories and share them with the world. Through this small device, their voices, their courage, and their hope travel far, so that even in places where life feels heavy, the light of God and the strength of His people can be seen.
Today I may not be “someone” in the eyes of the world, but I am me. And by the grace of God… that is more than enough.

As the world celebrates women today, here in Eastern Congo, the day feels heavy with sorrow.

While others celebrate strength, achievements, and progress, here many women and girls are simply trying to survive. Their laughter is silenced by fear. Their dreams are overshadowed by war. Their childhoods are stolen before they even begin.

This little girl is one of the women of tomorrow.
She should be dreaming of school, of playing with friends, of building a life filled with hope. But instead, she lives in the shadow of violence, loss, and grief no child should ever know. Every day, she carries the weight of a world that feels too cruel.
And yet, the women here carry a strength that cannot be broken. They protect families, raise children, and hold communities together—even when the night feels endless, even when tears fall silently in empty rooms. Their courage is quiet, but it is sacred.
The little girls who watch them today will become the women who carry this strength forward. But they need the world to see them, to care, to speak, to act.
So today, as we celebrate women everywhere, let us also cry with those who grieve, listen to those whose voices are silenced, and stand with the women of Congo. Share their stories. Speak for them. Care for them. Because every girl deserves the chance to grow up safe, to dream, and to become the woman she longs to be.

🚨 URGENT. URGENT. URGENT. 🚨
Congo is still bleeding.
I am not speaking from news. I am a survivor of this war. I have seen families lose everything. I have sat with mothers and fathers who no longer complain — not because they are okay, but because the suffering has gone beyond words.
We are still losing people. Every day.
And we cannot even count them all anymore.
Many things are happening that the world does not see. The war is not over. The pain is real. The trauma is real.
Please wake up.
Please speak.
Please share.
Do not let Congo suffer in silence

For this Black History Month, let me remind you of the courage of Rosa Parks, the determination of Nelson Mandela, the dream of Martin Luther King Jr., the heroism of Patrice Lumumba, and the wisdom of Cheikh Anta Diop. Because of them, figures like Barack Obama, Usain Bolt, George Weah, and many others were able to rise.
Their works form our flag.

Their sacrifices are our foundation. Their love is our symbol of glory. We owe them gratitude—for making us proud of our origins, our identity, our color.

And we will continue to fight—not only to honor them, but to finish what they started. We will fight for the liberation of the whole of Africa. To free Congo, to free Sudan, and to stand with every land across the world that is still facing humiliation, daily wars, kidnappings, destruction, and endless suffering....

The struggle is not over. But we move forward with courage, with sacrifice, and with unshakable faith. History proves that we rise every time. And this time will be no different. The future will be bright.
