The anticipation is building as we near the finish line on this glamorous uptown blue room! One million coats of paint later! Patina silverleaf for between the box beams, and a silk & abaca wall covering for the back of shelves. It’s all about the details in this room 💙. More is better! Stay tuned for the reveal.

We’re not afraid of color - here’s proof! 💙

This is the den-soon to be the homeowners’ favorite place to relax (LOL), watch TV, read, and unwind.

We wanted rich vibrancy and serious impact, so we went all in on this dramatic blue lacquer. Tucked just off the central foyer, the room delivers that wow moment right from the start.

The furnishings will support and ground the color story with mixed metals, warm neutrals, and layers of tonal blues.
Painting wraps in about a week, then the decor starts arriving. We can’t wait to see this one come together.

And a huge shoutout to Snyder Owens Beaux Arts, here from LA, for bringing this incredible paint treatment to life. 💙

Answering all of your questions about our Long Island entry hall in this week’s Field Notes at the link in my bio 🤍

I got a follow up question from a friend. Q: why use an oil cloth rather than a painted floor? A: No floor prep, quicker install (it is painted in a studio), and they don’t need touch ups.

We are excited to share our latest project - an Edwardian house in San Francisco’s Pacific Heights neighborhood - which features on @archdigest today.
With this project we have conjured an atmosphere as richly textured as the lives of those who call it home, balancing intimacy, fun and formality. A favorite feature is the painted tub by @conto_paints of @sobeauxarts who made this centerpiece come to life . Included are his sketches !

We’d like to thank @laurejoliet for capturing the project so beautifully, and @tessawatson for helping to bring each image together. Thank you to our brilliant partners @wadedesignarchitects_, @dijeauconstruction and @pinehouseediblegardens. Thank you to leads @danabenoitsper and @janesevila ! And finally a heartfelt thank you @sessasayswhat and the team at AD - @amyastley, @aleveasseur1, @mayer.rus, @zoesessums @samuelcochran - for their continued support.
