POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

The clocks gave us an extra hour last night but that’s not the only thing that can give you your time back… ⏰

I’ve got back so much more since I stopped drinking. 💫

I used to think drinking made weekends fun and spontaneous.
But looking back, mine used to follow the same old pattern. 🔁

Weekend drinks = rubbish sleep, spending the next day feeling crap, eating crap, lazing around with a “can’t be bothered” mentality, only to do it all over again the next weekend… no wonder my weekends felt like they flew by - now I see drinking was one of the biggest drains on my time and energy. 🪫

Being alcohol-free has given me far more time, and choice about how I spend my weekends…with the energy to actually enjoy them.

Time to move, to meet people, to properly relax, to try new hobbies, and no more cancelling plans because I feel rubbish.

It feels like life has opened up so much since I stopped, doing things I’d never have made room for before.

That’s part of why I started The Sussex Sober Social Club, @sussexsobersocial to create more chances to meet like-minded people and enjoy new experiences together without alcohol being the main event. 💛

📆 Our first Supper Club is on Thursday 19th November at The White Hart in Lewes, with alcohol-free drinks from @sobersommelier and a two-course dinner.

If you fancy meeting some new like-minded people for a fun booze-free night out, come and join us!

In 4 weeks, you could be walking through these doors to join me for our very first SSS Club Supper Club! 🍽️ 🍸

We’ll be heading upstairs at The White Hart to the historic Headstrong Club room, where Thomas Paine used to debate with friends over 250 years ago, when he lived just up the road.

We’ll kick things off with mocktails and an alcohol-free wine tasting with Alex, The Sober Sommelier, @sobersommelier then sit down for great food, good conversation and a fun night with a difference.

Whether you’re alcohol-free already, cutting back or just sober curious, and fancy a night out without the hangover the next day, you’re welcome to join us!

There are only 12 seats and 6 are sold already - comment SUPPER and I’ll send you the details 💌

I set this page up just a couple of weeks ago and there are a few new faces here, so thought I’d share a little about why I started the @sussexsobersocial club.

For most of my life, I just assumed alcohol went hand in hand with socialising…
Lunches and dinners out, catching up with friends, birthdays, other celebrations. There was usually a drink involved.

When I stopped drinking nearly two years ago, I still wanted to do all those things. But socialising without alcohol felt a little awkward and hard, especially when I was the only one not drinking.

I’ve heard the same from friends and other people who’ve stopped, cut back or are sober curious, that there aren’t that many opportunities to get together in person, without the expectation to drink.

After travelling, and going to various events, meeting new people where alcohol hasn’t been the focus I kept thinking I’d love to create a community and bring like minded people together who are on this journey too - a relaxed, non judgemental space to meet, connect and socialise without the social pressure to drink.

So here we are 💫

We’re starting with a supper club next month, and I’d love to add walks on the Downs, including a New Year’s Day sunrise walk, creative workshops and wellness events. Maybe even a day trip to France next year ⛴️ 🥖

Our first supper club is at The White Hart on Thursday 19th November in a private dining room.

I’m so excited that Alex Norwood Hill, The Sober Sommelier, @sobersommelier - a leading name in the alcohol free drinks world, will be opening with an hour’s mocktail masterclass and alcohol free wine tasting before we sit down for a two course dinner.

You’re welcome to join us, whether you’re alcohol-free already, or cutting back or just sober-curious.💛

This event has limited places and we are already 50% capacity.

Meet Alex @sobersommelier 🪄🍸🍷

I met Alex in real life in Ibiza at one of his alcohol free music residencies @sobersoundsystemibiza in the summer and sampled some of his premium mocktails and wines, which were SO good btw 👌

I couldn’t wait to invite him to Lewes to collaborate with me for an alcohol-free event - I just hadn’t worked out what or when….

Alex has been in the drinks world since the 90s, as a Michelin-star mixologist, starting out at Marco Pierre White’s restaurant The Canteen in Chelsea, and in Miami at Michael Caine’s South Beach Brasserie - he’s now one of the leading names in the no and low drinks space.

🥁 I am so excited to announce that Alex will be opening our very first @sussexsobersocial supper club event in Lewes, on Thursday 19th November, showcasing his mixology magic, plus a tasting of alcohol-free wine, before heading into the private Headstrong Club room at the White Hart hotel, for a delicious two-course dinner 🍽️

Whether you’ve been alcohol-free for a while, you’re curious about cutting back or you fancy a fun and different night out to meet other like-minded people, you’re very welcome ☺️

There are only 12 places available for this event as we want to keep it small, and now have just 7 spots left - comment SUPPER and I’ll send you all the details 💌

Come to Ibiza this October and immerse yourself in Ayurvedic Yoga Massage.

7 days of intensive training in one of the world’s most magnetic places.

Ibiza has always attracted people seeking something beyond the ordinary. The same island that has inspired wild nights, music and celebration has also drawn generations of people towards healing, creativity, spirituality and transformation.

Perhaps that is why our Ibiza training has become one of our most sought-after.

And October is a beautiful time to experience the island.

The crowds have gone. The beaches are quieter. The pace slows down. There is space to breathe, explore and truly connect with the spirit of Ibiza.

Swim in the Mediterranean.
Walk beneath ancient pine trees.
Watch extraordinary sunsets.
Then come together to learn a profound healing practice rooted in movement, presence and human connection.

Deepen your understanding of massage.
Develop your hands, your body and your awareness.
Discover the power of working with hands and feet.
And remember just how transformative human touch can be.

7 days. Ibiza. Ayurvedic Yoga Massage.

Such a fab time at first @thebig_retreat_cambridgeshire 🫶 a beautiful location that captures and emphasises the spirit of the long running Pembrokeshire edition.
Our founder David also had the honour of interviewing some of the KindComms* family during the day too.
Congratulations to the team and excited to do it all again next year!
