#committed I’m incredibly proud to announce my commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at Cal Lutheran University.

First and foremost I’d like to thank my parents, family and loved ones for their endless love, sacrifices, and support through every step of my journey. Along with my teammates, friends, and everyone who has been by my side, thank you for always pushing me to become the best version of myself on and off the field.

A special thank you to the Bishop Alemany and Crespi coaching staffs, especially Coach Thompson, Trax, Shaw, Santiago, as well as Coach Glendenning, Rap, and Wilson, for help shaping me into the player and person I am today. Thank you to Coach Jeremy Rodriguez for the countless early mornings and late nights in the cages through every drop of sweat or breath took, this wouldn’t be possible without you all.

Lastly, thank you to Coach Villegas, Coach Scherer, as well as the rest of the Cal Lutheran coaching staff for believing in me and giving me the opportunity. I’m thankful for everyone who has been part of this journey. The best is yet to come. Go Kingsmen!!

To the Mooooon...
Holden Backus (2028) out of Westlake HS with the moon shot 3 run home run. Big time power and getting to it in game. Big framed catcher at 6'5", continues to improve as he grows in to the frame. Arrow up.....
