CARNIVAL IS MORE THAN A PARTY! It’s the music you grew up hearing, the flag you recognize before you even see the name, the waistline your auntie taught you, the food you can smell from halfway down the street, the language, the laughter, the fashion, the freedom, and that feeling when the first riddim drops and everybody suddenly speaks the same language. That’s why we don’t just attend Carnival. ✔️We live the culture. ✔️We represent it. ✔️We fete for it. This is FETE DEPT.💪🏾 🌴 Which part of Carnival feels most like home to you? #fetefriday #fordehculcha #goodvibes #onecaribbean #carnivalseason

🌴Happy World Steelpan Day🛢️ Did you know the steelpan is the only acoustic instrument invented in the 20th century? 🎶🔥 Born in Trinidad & Tobago 🇹🇹 from the creativity and resilience of its people, this sweet sound became the heartbeat of Carnival—and a gift to the world. From Pan Yard to Panorama, the pan carries history, innovation, and pure Caribbean vibes. ❤️ Respect the culture. FETE WITH PURPOSE. 🎶 #worldsteelpanday #rockcitycarnival🇻🇮 #caribbeanculture #caribbeanhistory #lovemyculture

📍Cultural Discussion 📍 Carnival is evolving, but are we preserving its soul? 🤔🙏🏾 Lately, we’ve seen conversations across the Carnival community about whether we’re losing the true meaning of Carnival. Some say social media has shifted the focus from culture to content. Some believe influencers are helping Carnival reach the world, while others feel traditions, history, and the people who built this culture are being overlooked. So we want to ask the community: What responsibility do we all have; masqueraders, promoters, influencers, brands, photographers, DJs, and content creators, to protect the culture while helping it grow? At Fete Dept, we believe Carnival is more than feathers, fetes, and viral moments. It’s history, resistance, freedom, music, community, and identity. It’s something we wear, live, and pass on. This isn’t about pointing fingers. It’s about starting a conversation. 👇 Tell us: What does preserving Carnival culture look like to you? Let’s hear every perspective with respect. Can Carnival evolve without losing its identity? Yes or no. #fetedept #wearculturenottrends #carnivalculture #caribbeanculture #protecttheculture
