🍂 Beautiful fall weather = lots of soccer fun! 🍁

Our Primary (preschool/kindergarten-age) students have been making the most of these gorgeous afternoons with Soccer Shots, one of WMS’s most popular after-school programs!

Through engaging activities, drills and even a little scrimmaging, students are building coordination, confidence and teamwork while learning the fundamentals of soccer and having a blast with their friends!

Different sports. Same challenge: how do you keep every kid engaged?

Every new beginning comes with something to learn.

Before starting my pickleball classes, I had the opportunity to observe Soccer Shots coaches Jose and Chris in action. Their energy, creativity, and ability to keep kids engaged at every age inspired me so much.

Thank you to @zjafivetowns @soccershotslongislandwest for trusting me and giving me the opportunity to learn before I begin.

Different sports, same mission: helping kids grow through play.

I’m excited to bring my best to these young pickleball players!

Every Thursday about 30 kiddos enjoy Soccer Shots in Cazenovia. Sometimes double rainbows too.

Hey, Messi was a preschooler once too. 🤷‍♂️⚽️

In early childhood, soccer is great for several important areas of development.

🏃Running, kicking, and changing directions strengthen gross motor skills, balance, and coordination.

🫡 Following directions and tracking a moving ball build focus and spatial awareness.

🤝Taking turns, working with teammates, and trying new skills help develop social skills and confidence.

And the best part? Children are building all these skills through something they naturally love to do: play! 💙

We’re grateful for community partners like @soccershotshq ⚽️ who help us bring enriching extracurricular experiences to our schools, giving children even more opportunities to explore new interests, build skills, and have fun along the way!
