POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I did this piece a bit back, and this was one of my first larger scale realism pieces I've attempted. Top is fresh, and the bottom is fully healed!
This was my first time tattooing this client as well, and we couldn't have been happier! Thanks so much for your trust on such a meaningful piece 🖤
✧
I would love to take on more nature themed tattoos. Small or large scale, I have you covered!
If you're interested in booking with me, take a look at the inquiry form in my bio ✨

Some old, some new ✨
I get asked often, "Do you do color tattoos?"
I do take on most color projects based on the project complexity and style! Fill out the inquiry form in my bio 🖤

I've been getting tons of new clients lately just starting their tattoo journey, so I figured I'd make a quick aftercare post! Hopefully this sums up some basic aftercare instructions well enough🤘🖤

*This is based on general information from @ironthorntattoo's aftercare sheets, which are provided at the end of your appointment!

To Heal with Second Skin:

Fluid may accumulate beneath the bandage during the initial day. Change the bandage after 24 hours. Gently remove the old bandage with clean hands under running water.

To Heal with Second Skin:

Once the initial second skin bandage is removed, clean the tattoo with gentle soap and lukewarm water. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry with a paper towel. Avoid using bath towels or reusable cloths, as they can harbor bacteria and leave fibers.

To Heal with Second Skin:

To reapply the second skin bandage, ensure the skin is free of soapy residue and added lotions or ointments. I’ll demonstrate how to reapply second skin during your appointment! Leave the new bandage on for 4-5 days. Remove it in the shower or under running water for easier removal.

For Traditional Healing:

After 2-3 hours, remove the bandage in a clean environment. If removed before bedtime, the tattoo may adhere to bed sheets and stain them. Remember to use clean bedding throughout the healing process!

General Healing Information:

Once the bandage is removed, wash the tattoo twice daily with warm water and soap until healed. Dial pump soap is a good choice, as it lacks added fragrance or dyes!

To wash the tattoo, lather soap in your hands with lukewarm water. Gently clean using a circular motion to remove any ointment, blood, or plasma. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry with a clean paper towel. Avoid using washcloths or loofas to wash your tattoo.

Once dry, apply a thin layer of ointment, balm, or lotion, and massage it into the skin. I tend to use a fragrance-free, dye-free lotion, like Lubriderm! We also have samples of balms and ointments to try at the shop ✨

After your tattooing session, expect plasma and ink leakage for the first day or two. Flaky scabs will form and fall off on their own. Avoid picking or scratching.

Wear loose-fitting clot
