This past weekend we had our last gathering in the space and it was an honor to share it with the women of @socialrootsfoundationaz! Ms. Attitude, exists to be part of the solution for youth. Ms. Attitude is a 9-month hybrid program where they guide participants emotionally, physically, and spiritually toward healing and leadership. Through mentorship, self-awareness, education, access to therapy, and community, they help young people discover their power to transform their own lives and the lives of those around them.

Their mission is to is to champion social and economic justice while fostering education and enhancing access to mental health information and resources for underserved Indigenous and African American youth, young adults, and families.

We’d love it if you give them a follow to learn more about their work!

I was asked by our good sis, @ablackgirlinsocialwork to support her #BGSW panel and it was such an absolute honor!! It’s really crazy how God aligns opportunities 💕 …we’ve been orbiting each other for five years and finally got to connect!! I am wishing nothing more but continued blessings and success, Queen!!

The last picture—I was pressed about the bills 💴 I saw in the chandelier!! Something tells me it was a Nigerian wedding in this room the night before. 🤣🤣🤣

Filming for my first ever documentary yesterday! I’m honored to partner with The Social Roots Foundation to bring the story of their amazing work to life! Their mentorship program “Ms. Attitude” is doing the work to bring community, leadership, and representation to young black girls and women here in the Valley and I’m so happy to be a part of it!

Exploring some mental, physical, and spiritual wellness all at once today. ✨

Stretching our minds is as important as stretching our body! The more we allow ourselves to unpack, learn, and relearn, our capacity for hard conversations expands!

Sometimes the discomfort we feel when we stretch our muscles is exactly what we need. Similarly, it’s like the discomfort we feel when we know we’re not being honest with ourselves. Honesty with “self” is necessary.

So let’s stretch that. 💪🏽

pov: the girls had a TIME 🤍🤞🏾
One thing about me? I’m gonna choose self-care every time.
As a young professional who’s always on go, I’ve learned how necessary it is to pause, refill my cup, and just be. And what better way to do that than surrounded by soft vibes, good food, yoga, massages, and my girls?
Thank you @xojhazy for curating such a peaceful space for women who really needed it. 🌿✨

Healing Looks Different Here! 👇🏽

At Social Roots, we know that healing is not limited to therapy and medication—though those are important tools. Our ancestors practiced healing long before the DSM or insurance billing codes existed. We embrace traditional knowledge, spiritual care, movement, storytelling, community gathering, rest, art, and connection to land as sacred ways of tending to the mind, body, and spirit.

💫 Healing is not linear. Some days we thrive. Some days we just survive. Both are valid.
🍲 Food is medicine. Nourishment isn’t just about calories—it’s culture, care, and ancestry on a plate.
🌱 The land is sacred. Connection to nature, ancestors, and community is healing in itself.
💛 Wholeness begins with self.

The most important relationship you’ll ever have is the one with yourself. It sets the tone for how you love, how you lead, and how you show up for others.

Book a free consultation with me, you don’t have to journey through the process alone!
