Last mock exam before test day! 🥸

Emotions and nerves were at an all time high. I had to take some extra effort to regulate my anxiety related to this practice test and my upcoming test date.

For other social workers preparing to take their exam, in my opinion, this exam through ASWB was worth it because it’s the closest mock exam to the real test. Thankfully, I passed this practice test, which makes me feel like I’m ready for my official exam!

Years ago, I was waiting, trusting, wondering when my time would come. Omo, staying at home wasn’t easy, but God was writing a story I couldn’t yet see. (I'd share the full story soon) 😂

Today, seeing my FYB design posted feels like a full-circle moment. From uncertainty to growth, from waiting to walking in purpose, God has been faithful through it all.

I’m not done yet, just one more semester to go 🎓✨
But I just had to pause and say thank You, Lord, for every delay, every lesson, every win, every amazing person I've met on this journey, and every moment that shaped me.

This journey is proof that His timing is perfect. 🤍🥺💐

In honor of Social Work Month, one of our members treated their Social Work team to a Wellness Day at our boutique co-working/event space the Metropolitan by @blackhousecollection.

My heart aches everyday hearing about our country harming so many souls. I also know collective spaces of healing is also needed now more than ever. Joy is resistance. Healing is resistance. Connection is resistance. This weekend consisted of all of that & I’m so thankful. 🙏🏽🤍

On Friday evening @embodiedtogether & I hosted a restorative meditation sound bath at her cozy warm office. 🕯️🥣 thank you to everyone who joined us 🙏🏽 I can’t wait for our future events together.

On Saturday I had an amazing time providing a sound bath at a wellness event for social workers hosted by @socialworkerslink + @huehaussocialclub. I got to witness @thedivinitygaines work her magic & lead the Pilates class. She was soo affirming & empowering throughout her class. I had a delicious cupcake made by @meloswaydc 🧁 (tasted better than Susie’s Cakes!). I also finally got a custom charm necklace from @lovealwaysandco My inner child was happy 🦋

Today I got to stop by @divinelymanifested_ grand opening of her new space in Downey! She also made me the most beautiful custom healing crystal necklace 🥰 she did a reading on my energy + created a necklace with crystals to help me with my energy block of sometimes feeling unsure of my path. Then we held the necklace in my hands as she prayed over it. I never want to take it off 🤍

No one knew that the night before this photo, I was in tears. I had just received a new diagnosis: endometriosis — confirmed on MRI. Later learned it was stage 4.

The next day, I showed up anyway, hosting my first Social Workers Link event, smiling through pain no one could see.

This is what endometriosis can look like. Strength, silence, and showing up when everything feels heavy. 🎗️
