LUNCH | DINNER ☆ @bloesem.restaurant is the only non-Amsterdam tip I’ll ever share on Plated. Co-owned by our dear friend Nebo, this Borgerhout (Antwerp) gem might just be one of the most special dining experiences you’ll ever have.

Exactly a year ago, we were here for their test dinner. A night that set the tone for everything Bloesem stands for. This time, the menu was different, yet so unmistakably Bloesem. It’s exciting to see such evolution paired with such unwavering consistency. The flow of the 18 small dishes is so brilliantly curated that with every course you catch yourself saying, “Wait… I think this one’s my favourite.”

By coincidence, my parents-in-law were there for lunch too, which gave us the chance to experience the restaurant from two sides: first at the eight bar seats, fully immersed in the quiet choreography of the kitchen, and later the single low table for six over coffee. It beautifully showed how unique every seat in the restaurant feels.

On the drive back to Amsterdam, we were already planning our return. Because for a few hours, you’re not just dining - you’re truly cared for, surprised, and completely drawn into the world of Deborah, Brend & Nebo.
