“The idea is gradually forcing itself upon me that good literature is not about forms new or old. But rather, that the ideas must flow directly from the artist’s heart, without his bothering his head about any forms whatsoever.”

There’s a special bond you get in theatre, something I’ve failed to replicate anywhere else. Each one of you in this show I love dearly and individually. For all of you who supported us and took the time to see it, I thank you. I am forever changed, this was the hardest and most rewarding role I’ve had the pleasure of playing. I could not have done it without all of these beautiful people. I thank you, Shea, for trusting me with this. #utahtheatre

Imaginary goes into tech after spring break and closes that weekend at Kingsbury Hall. Isabel Moss is the Stage Manager with Claire Mila and Juan Gomez as ASMs and Ashley Rodriquez as PA.

Urinetown continues rehearsals, moving into the Babcock at the end of the month. Hanna Deursch is the Stage Manager with Andrew Liddell and Trin Jones as ASMs and David Ramirez and Serenity Singleton as PAs.

The School of Music also wraps their season up with You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown performing in the Libby Gardner Convert Hall. Sierra Loertscher is the SM with Tara Gontkovic and Ez McCormick as ASMs.

One more studio series project: the freshmen MTP showcase! Autumn Wagner and Castle Tierney are the PSMs of the space.

Welcome to December!

As the year comes to a close we want to look back on all that we did this semester.

We had 2 mainstage shows! The Cherry Orchard being SM’d by Castle Tierney, with Tony Trunnell and Kelly Fry as ASMs, and Ava Dixon as PA. Then Legally Blonde which was SM’d by Sierra Loertscher, with Io Carling and Isabel Moss as ASMs, and Sofia Webley and Maddi Thomas as PAs.

We had our touring production! R.U.R. was SM’d by Lynn Brisco, with Andrew Liddell and Tara Gontkovic as ASMs, and Ez McCormick as PA.

We worked with the school of music on their production of The Tender Land which was SM’d by Skyler LeMelle, and Tony Trunnell and Blake Nelson as ASMs.

We premiered the new Studio Series in PAB 115. Be on the lookout for a post coming soon about everything that went on this semester there. Skyler LeMelle and Trin Jones served as PSMs for the space.

We had some events! We watched Juno at a PJ movie night in September, we carved pumpkins in October, and we had a joint Friendsgiving with the PADU!

This semester was a success and we can’t wait to see everything that comes in the spring.

Happy Closing to the SM team of Legally Blonde! This Sunday was their last performance in the Meldrum Theatre. This was our last main series show this semester, but be on the lookout for The School for Scandal performing in the same theatre next semester.

The distance from the booth to the stage is too far…

Happy opening weekend to the SM team and 25-member crew! Legally Blonde runs though November 23rd! University students receive 1 free ticket a night through @uofuartspass .

From 2007 to 2025, the technology may have changed, but the creativity hasn’t 💕 In honor of the first day of tech meet the brilliant Legally Blonde creative team and stage managers, making every cue, costume change, and curtain call possible. What, like it’s hard?
