Hey Young World! Foosie here, the Bard from Broadway made a way down to Kentucky. I played a doloustic (dolo & acoustic) set in a Sacred Space @sofarlouisville on a Sweet Sunday afternoon @bar.nada.nada
With 2 other Brilliant Artists
@charliejohnmusic with a smooth delivery and a sneaky strength of flow with the words. Just a Good Songwriter as well.
@clairependreigh took me back to another time with her guitar strumming before she sang a word…then built a wraparound porch with a swing and a little table for lemonade (or bourbon 🥃) with soft lyrics. The punches in the poesy came later on in the last song of her set, and she was Vulnerable with the crowd and herself at the same time. She remembered to bring her vinyl so I’ll be listening to it soon.
What I LOVE about @sofarsounds shows is the Intimacy & the Bravery involved, from both sides of the listeners and the lyricists. It’s a room full of folks who are putting themselves in the way of Beauty.
S/O to @early.social.scene for making lit events happen for the Young At Heart But Early To Bed 👴🏾😂
It’s Always An Honor when the Brothers Of The Struggle slide thru to a show. And they Broke Bread and bought merch🫡🇺🇸💪🏾
@nettekay is the Style Master General @thefrontporchrecords and The Best Passenger to remind a guy like me just how LOVED I Am. Even when I forget the vinyl 🤦🏾‍♂️🤣

When Jayme from @sofarlouisville asked me to collab on an early event, I answered with an enthusiastic “YES.” Photographing the first 15 shows back in 2018/2019 was such a great way to meet new artists from all over. But the later hours became hard for me so I haven’t attended as many over the last few years.

The goal of @early.social.scene is to bring evening energy to afternoon hours, because there is a misconception that just because early birds like sleep, they don’t like to party or live music.. wrong! 😝

Thank you to our incredible artists:

@foosie31
@clairependreigh
@charliejohnmusic

who drove hours to be here and take part in an early show. Ty to @bar.nada.nada for the beautiful space and tasty bevvies. And shoutout to all the guests (some I knew, some I met for the first time) for bringing an amazing energy to our Sunday. ✨

Follow @early.social.scene for more early events around the city!

If you’ve never been to a Sofar show, this is a unique opportunity to enjoy a variety of live music performances (ranging from acoustic, to hip-hip, to full bands) - but who’s performing is a always a fun surprise!

Also, remember when I had short red hair?! 😝
