🚨🏊‍♀️ Maine Swimmer & College Freshman Sophia Pride Stands Up for Her Sisters on the Pool Deck! 🔥👏
From Falmouth to the University of Maine — she poured her heart into swimming. Early mornings, weightlifting, coaching little kids, building her whole schedule around the sport that gave her discipline, confidence, and unbreakable teamwork.
But as a female athlete, she watched fairness disappear.
She spent nearly a year sharing a bathroom with a biological male.
Her friends endured the same awkward, uncomfortable locker room moments.
She saw a girls’ team robbed of a state championship by a biologically male competitor.
Now this proud older sister is telling the Judiciary Committee loud and clear: Female athletes deserve safe, fair, and respected spaces.
She’s urging support for LD 2239 — keeping school sports and private facilities separated by biological sex.
This is the next generation refusing to stay silent.
Protect girls’ sports. Protect real opportunity.
Watch her powerful testimony and share it across Maine! 🇺🇸
