She brought the strength, the lines, and the movement. I just had to catch it.

As much as dance is one of the biggest commitments, both physically and financially. It’s long days at competitions and games, to early mornings with less than 8 hours of sleep. Over and over again. I wish for all of the people watching her, to know that this girl is so passionate about this sport. This sport helped her through the hardest times one would experience in their lives. And she experienced this trauma by a parent, and as a child. She is the strongest person I’ve ever known. I’m Just here helping her follow her dream. Watching you dance is one of my favorite things to do. I will support you as far as your dancing in college, I will be at every game.

Prepare to know my feed the rest of the summer as a proud dance mom. She comes out of long days of classes this summer (this crazy girl is dancing 14 hours a week), volunteering and prioritizing her faith, doing her summer workbook that she loves so much (anything to keep them out of screens for even an hour a day), with the biggest smile on her face out of that dance studio. Even her step dad who reminds me 10 times a year how much he wishes we chose a different sport for her. Jokes on him, she loves this. He drives her to and from practice every week (hehe, dance dad!).

We are your biggest fan, Sofia. 💕

Dance Banquet 2026 💙

Proud doesn’t even begin to describe how we feel. Sofia is such a shining light to everyone around her, and last night was a beautiful reminder of just how loved she is. Watching her light up the room so effortlessly was incredibly special.

The “Radiant Star” and “Most Likely to Be Famous” awards could not have fit her more perfectly. She is such a beautiful dancer. Keep shining bright my girl. @holdernessstephen @sofia_arroyo13 @sofiaarroyo_dance
