My girl is all moved in.

The day I've been dreading, finally came and went...and I'm heartbroken.

I am so proud of Cadence for who she is, and I know she is exactly where she is supposed to be for the next chapter of her life. She's worked extremely hard and deserves it all.

She is my bestie, the kids second mom, and everything in between. It's funny how a house filled with three other kids and a dog, can feel so empty with her gone.
Her place at the dining room table for dinner is empty, her room looks like a museum, and the house has a little less laughter.

I've spent the last 18 years pouring everything into being a mom, and making sure she is ready to be on her own...to survive without me (which she can)...but I wasn't prepared for how to live without her.

Side note: boy is she loved. Thank you to everyone who helped get her ready, wished her well, checked on us, and physically moved her in this weekend.

Kelley Baccellieri and I are so lucky that these besties of 10 years ended up going to the same college, and are across the hall from each other. Our extended family continues in new traditions of visiting our kids together.
