Looking at desire and intimacy through the lens of self-improvement culture, the work examines the endless pursuit of a better version of ourselves.

We’re expected to be better, happier, hotter, healthier, more evolved - then sold the tools to get there. At what point does self-improvement become the self being sold back to itself?

Conceived as a fully immersive experience, RATTLESKIN transforms 2,000 m² of an abandoned department store through spatialized video, new media, choreography and electronic music. This will mark the company’s most ambitious project to date.

Are we increasingly being sold versions of ourselves back to ourselves?

In a culture shaped by ideals of self-optimization, the work examines what happens when the pursuit of becoming more complete, desirable, emotionally evolved or physically perfected turns the self into an endless project of self correction - and what this does love, desire and intimacy.
