Baby Girl’s Schedule Below! 📖

We ditched it. When she was born, I leaned on the apps! and they were helpful when there was so much to keep track of. But I keep coming back to the idea of mother’s intuition. I’ve always said my mom had it… but maybe it’s more of a muscle than we think.

Maybe there’s been so much messaging telling us not to trust it that we’ve forgotten how. I’m starting to feel like part of motherhood is practicing listening to it again.

When I try to follow a strict schedule, I create too many expectations and unmet expectations turn into disappointment.

But when we get out, I’m always surprised by how much easier the day feels. There’s always support if we know how to ask for it and receive it. I almost didn’t make it to book club, and it ended up being one of the most beautiful nights with her and my girls.

Just in awe of this life with her 🤍

& thank you for all the love on the last post! we received the cutest, comfiest matching pj’s from @moimoln.usa !! bc of it & had to put them on as soon as we got them.

here’s our little story:

first came blue, then came teddy, & finally our girl lola. 🩵🤎🩷

The three of us used to come to this park to read and talk for hours. It became our spot. 🌱

We dreamed of having babies at the same time, & that dream just came true. We showed up for one another during our pregnancies. We showed up to each babies birth. & we’re all showing up for each other in postpartum.

We’re first time moms back at our favorite park, matching our babies & raising them side by side.

I think this is where we will return to when we’re old & grey.

wishes for my inner child & hopes for my baby girl 🧚‍♂️

I hope to adorn her in flower crowns
and encourage her to be taken by the moon.
To place wings upon her shoulders
and lift her when she feels like laying down.

I hope to give her pieces of the world
to spread before her like a puzzle,
where she gets to decide
where each piece belongs.

I want her to sing, to dance,
to have her face painted.
To hand her a box of crayons
so she can leave the world behind
and create her own.

I hope she always feels
an undeniable sense of belonging
in our arms, in our home, in our lives.

I cannot wait to see who she becomes.
I will cherish her from sunup to sundown,
because when I look at you,
all I see is magic ✨
