So excited to share these pictures from my ongoing solo exhibition “AMONGST FRIENDS” at @nilsaaskunstverksted

This is from the opening day, and I am so happy that so many of you could join in, be there and participate in the exhibition.

Amongst friends, is an attempt to share the various changing landscapes of a friendship going through good, rocky, soft, cloudy , happy, dull moments… it’s about making friends and just as much about unmaking friends…

how to spot a good friendship from a not so good one ? Trust and distrust…Loving a friend vs falling in love with a friend…..Being happy together and being depressed together…….Venting to a friend……Friends as a life boat vs friends as a stormy sea…..

and my favourite - are my friends a big reflection of me ?

The exhibition consists of paintings done over the last few years reflecting the above, a special invitation to old and new friends with their sculptures, art books and creatures @lilizanetastudio @sofieclausager @ertkeramikk @vigdishelmersen_trondheim @metteofnorway @unnzum

AND a an site-specific installation titled “CIRCLE OF TRUST”, calling all known and unknown friends to come together, to eat candy, bead, talk, drink juice, talk a little more and then bead again, and hangout, be silly, be serious, laugh, don’t laugh, 🤭 totally up to you…

BIG THANK YOU to Silje, Solveig, Anne-Gro and Randi 🥰🥰🥰 and Major thanks to Lily for capturing these moments from the opening.

#sommerparty ☀️🌞🌻👙👗🍉⛱️
Absolutely love the tradition of sommer party at Atelier Ilsvika. It’s a tradition, where sharing is caring and we are very generous with each other (more than usual) by exchanging stories, food, drinks and lots of laughs.

The party consisted of AI members and their friends and family. We had a food menu of cuisines from all over the world - Italian, Indian, Chinese, danish, Norsk, German and Polish. Of course, no one went home hungry or sober 😏🍷

It’s a lovely tradition that keeps on giving 😇🥹🥲

And for your information, we are a sweet small community of creative professionals looking to expand, and welcoming new members. If you like what you see, write to us to become a part of this community. We have a few spots left up for grabs 😎🤓🥸

«Two Birds»
av Auzelle Epeneter

Let me prove that I can be the two birds trading positions in opposite trees. Let me find my way into the cooler side of the canyon, a way to travel through the last daylight, a way to draw out all the juice.

The moon drops out of the sky, but I remember to look beneath the topsoil and find the older parts. I remember to call my sisters and let them tell me who I am.

I can pick back up the connecting threads. I can rebuild each part of my house even better. Let me prove it. I can be the two birds going high and low, high and low.

Hello everybody, I´m @sofieclausager / Sofie Clausager Sörensen and this week it’s my turn to take over the Norwegian Crafts Instagram. #instatakeover #dailycraftpick #norwegiancrafts

I’m a Danish artist based in Trondheim. I just finished my masters degree from @kunstakademiettrondheim

Today I will present my graduation work and some of my works. The following days I will show works that in different ways inspire me.

I do sculptures and installations, and my work has its roots in everyday life, crafts, generations, and cultural-social history. I work with materials from the everyday life, things we are constantly confronted with, but we no longer perceive because we see them all the time. For me the slow and repetitive narrative is the most interesting.

My graduation work called “Som min far lærte mig det” shown at @k.u.k_ungkunst and @nilsaaskunstverksted is a point in a longer investigation of dynamics and cultures across generations and the progress of giving on knowledge especially tacit knowledge. The knowledge that is ingrained in the body as movements and intuition. “Som min far lærte mig det” is my reaction to a meeting between father and daughter, between craftsman and artist.
