My name is Haneen Mohammed, and I am reaching out to all of you with compassionate hearts. I ask you to look at us and our children with kindness, mercy, and humanity.

We are a family of 23 people, including 11 children under the age of 13. All of them are at important stages of growth and need food, care, and the most basic necessities of life.

Imagine children who should be enjoying a safe and happy childhood, but instead are facing hunger, deprivation, and suffering. Our children deserve to eat until they are full, live with dignity, and have the opportunity to grow and achieve their dreams.

Among us is also my brother, who lives with paralysis and suffers in silence. He needs care, food, and medical treatment, while we all struggle to survive these incredibly difficult circumstances.

Imagine the joy on my children’s faces as they watched a wedding procession pass through the middle of all this suffering… ❤️‍🩹

I never knew that the simple sound of drums and a brief moment of celebration could make them this happy. I was filming them, completely shocked by the amount of joy I saw in their eyes.

These children have lived through so much fear and deprivation, yet they still carry hope in their hearts. They still want to experience the beautiful side of life and laugh and celebrate like other children.

They deserve to live. They deserve to eat when they are hungry, drink clean water, feel safe, and experience childhood, even through the simplest things.

But even their most basic rights have become difficult for us to provide.
