What genre is this, actually? 🤔👇 Case Study Group 2: The Leftfield Folk-Abstract A 60-second excavation into the friction between acoustic memory and soundsystem mechanics.. Tracking a direct sonic bridge from Jean-Marie Bolangassa’s 1998 accidental proto-techno percussion suite, issued on wax via @sofritosound, straight into the haunting, Iranian santur arrangements of Omid Geadizadeh on @wahwahwino . When acoustic traditions are strapped to heavy, sub-bass or completely fractured like the drum & bass remix of the Omid Geadizadeh track by Morgan Buckley, conventional genre boxes break down entirely. What do you call this? 🤔 👇 #whatgenreisthis #vinyl #wahwahwino #sofritosound
